Well I just upgraded to the latest version 3.8.194 and I have to say I'm not very impressed. It's very unstable and keeps crashing - editing file properties in the library seems to be the main trigger. But when my library imported, all my keywords were lost so I have to redo them!
Anyone else having problems?
The split 'local user'/cloud account thing also annoys me. Seems a lot more clumsy than previous versions. At this rate I think I'll be going back to the pre-cloud version - still have it on my laptop.
Just out of interest, I'm on a Mac running OSX Sierra as of today - but I had the same crashing issues with El Capitan.

I glad to hear your report - but sorry that you are having trouble. I haven't heard anything "good" about the updates since I bought my Cameo in November 2015!

I hate the new version. It's the first time I haven't loved my Silhouette software. It's slow, clunky, and the separate cloud login drives me nuts too. I keep thinking I'll call and see if they can provide a download for the older version. I had to replace my computer, so I lost mine.

I had 3.3.638 previously and never had any issues with it! Anything pre 3.7.206 is pre-cloud. eSaveSaveSaveSaveSave

I've just gone and downloaded 3.6.57 pre-cloud version and it seems to be working fine. Think I'll be sticking with that!

I'm not even sure which version I have. I always use my Makes the cut program with it. I'm going to have to look just incase. I always use SCAL because it's what I'm more familiar with. I have ver 2 for Cricut and ver 3 for Silhouette. I have no idea what version of Silhouette DS I'm running. Thanks anniefb for the heads up.

Sorry you are having issues. I started having an issue after I read this thread. Turns out my issue was just operator error because I didn't have my usb cord plugged in ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) lol. I'm glad you were able to find an earlier version. Hopefully Silhouette will fix this new software version soon

I tried taking the plunge, but it just did not work for me at all. After hours on the phone with tech support I gave up, uninstalled the new version and re-installed the pre-cloud version. No problems since and I am absolutely not going near the new Beta V4 until all bugs are worked out - which could be never!

So I opened my Sil Studio to use it this week and I couldn't see my library or download anything from the store. I contacted CS via email and they suggested I download the most current version 3.8.194. I'm currently on 3.8.150. I remembered reading this thread so I'm hesitant to install the latest version. I may take the advice of anniefb and just downgrade to 3.6.57. Thank you! ETA: So I did download the most current version and I still couldn't access my library/purchases. So I installed the 3.6.57 version and bingo! it works.

ETA again: If you do downgrade be sure to go into your Preferences / General and click the radio button that says NEVER check for updates.

Sorry to hear about all thee issues. Just a further PSA - I read somewhere (maybe on the Silhouette School Blog) that the latest version of software has been causing issues for Cameos 1 and 2 and not to upgrade unless you have a 3. I personally think they need a cloud version that's truly optional.
