If you can get a copy of Sure Cuts A Lot 2 (SCAL2). They don't sell it anymore - but I have seen bootleg copies on Etsy and Ebay. Buyer beware. It is a bootleg copy. It is not supported by CraftEdge. It may or may not work with the newer operating systems.

Provo Craft sued the SCAL people and won. So it's no longer available. I bought mine before it happened. If my cricut ever dies, I'll get a Silhouette.

I have Sure Cuts A Lot 2 and an old Cricut here, but I ended up getting a Silhouette a few years ago and transitioned right into designing with my Silhouette. It does so much more than the SCAL 2 did like tracing and printing and cutting.

I used to use SCAL2 with my Cricut Create but moved to Silhouette when my cricut died. Even if you can get hold of the old version of SCAL it's pretty basic compared to what the software can do now - both newer versions of SCAL and Silhouette Studio etc. I probably wouldn't bother trying to find it.

Thanks for all the feedback. I won't buy old copies of software as I won't know if the software has been compromised with malware. Going to try the Cricut Craft Room.

Any design software work with the original circuit? Cricut's software Cricut Craft Room. No SVGs or uploaded images. SCAL pulled all v2s, so buyer beware, you could be purchasing fake software. I've been using Design Space so long, that when I put a cartridge in my Personal, I was dumbfounded. So, I lauched craftroom and concluded I should sell my personal or gift it to a school in a not so well to do community. |
