I asked dd. She likes the float bottom but not the top.

Wouldn't be my first, or second or third choice. I'm not a fan of strapless however so no thanks. I do love lace.

Nope...looks like curtains LOL - that reminds me of the old Carol Burnett show, when they did the Gone With The Wind skit. She needed a dress before Rhett Butler got there, so she made it from curtains and said in a deep southern drawl... "It's just something I saw in the window"...

I love simple.. mine was even simpler but this looks messy. I think it may be the way it is modelled. It's because it hasn't been altered for the model - it's too long for her. The model wouldn't be able to walk in it without stepping all over the skirt. ETA - And it's falling off her torso. It needs to be tightened from the bust to the waist so that it sits higher on her waist. Huh - I paid my way through university managing a bridal salon - I guess some things never leave you. I wonder if that the reason it's most pinned? While I think it would look better and more flattering fitted, especially in bodice, it gives us fluffy type hope. You don't have to be scrunched into an iron corset to look good. I don't know if I actually believe this, just a possibility. I love to have my clothes tailored to fit me, it can make the average suit look more flattering and expensive.

As the girls from Go Fug Yourself would say, it needs a good hoik. And the fit around the waist is awful. The bottom is lovely but not enough to save the rest of the dress.

It's pretty, but it looks like just one gentle tug and she'd be nude. That's it! That's the appeal. It's the most pinned.... by MEN!

This dress does not appeal to me at all. Nothing about it screams special to me.

It makes me wonder if employees at the company are required to pin that dress every single day!
That just cannot *really* be THE most popularly pinned dress. It just can't! I has zero shape nor WOW factor at all. I could maybe see a Kate Middleton dress getting randomly pinned but not this.

Meh. If I saw this on a page with several dresses, I doubt it would catch my eye.

Bleh. Looks like a sad white sack. Does nothing for the model.

Pinned as "What not to wear"! This dress does absolutely nothing for the model. It's much too low on the bodice and shows nothing of her shape. It's like she's wearing a white sack. Even the lace part is ugly. I like lace when it is done beautifully, this isn't at all.

With two nieces having weddings within a year and many of their friends getting married, there has been lots of wedding dress talk in my family. I have to say this is the style of dress that most of them prefer. Australian wedding dress designers are a big thing in the U.K. When I went wedding dress shopping with my niece one of the sales assistants was saying that this style of dress is so popular because weddings are becoming much more informal and weddings are being held in unusual venues.
Boho weddings are the big thing at the minute. My niece is holding her wedding in tepees in the middle of a field! Her dress is a silky, floaty, gold, pink Australian creation.
ETA I read this back and realised the dress description sounds awful. But it is a beautiful, elegant dress that looks great on her.

I like it. Sure it doesn't fit the model well but any dress bought would fit the bride. As posted above, this floaty more informal style is very much in fashion in Australia.

Australian wedding dress designers are a big thing in the U.K. When I went wedding dress shopping with my niece one of the sales assistants was saying that this style of dress is so popular because weddings are becoming much more informal and weddings are being held in unusual venues. This. I follow a few blogs that post pictures of staged weddings for inspiration and this style is all over the place. And really, the dress has been styled to evoke a certain feeling that brides might want, not to show off what the dress would look like properly tailored to a perfect model figure. While not one I would choose, I do believe it is a very pretty dress. I'm not surprised that this is the most pinned dress since most pinners are probably much younger than the average Pea here (sorry!). It kind of reminds me when I went shopping with my mom for my wedding dress. It was when wedding dresses were getting much simpler after the poofy excess of the eighties. My mom had a shit fit that I wasn't trying on any of the "pretty dresses" and all the ones I wanted were plain and boring. She wanted the poofy, the laced and sequined long sleeves coming down to a point on the wrist, HUGE butt bow, etc. What she thought looked bridal and pretty was no longer the fashion. And so it goes today.

lovely and simple- but I am so over strapless gowns. Agree with everyone about the poor fit.

I think it has more to do with the feeling the picture conjures than the actual dress. It is very ethereal. I don't see that at all. To me it looks like she was left standing at the alter. I don't see anything special about this dress. No matter your style, short or long, fancy or simple, poofy or fitted, it's your wedding dress. It should be special.

A good percentage of brides are ridiculous. If anything, it taught me problem-solving and improved my mediation skills. The bride I had with the very best attitude also happened to be a divorce attorney. Every time she was in the store with a bridezilla, I could hear her muttering, 'Yeah, I'll see you in 5 years."
