I just happened to see them on their IG. But why are they so expensive? Similar size bottles are available at alot of online store for around $6.00. This is double the price. I really wanted to buy them but no way I would spend that much. ETA..here is the link for their sprays altenew.com/collections/stencils-and-ink-sprays

Yikes that's expensive. I don't use sprays that much but have a few. Wouldn't pay that kind of money. I do love the Altenew crisp inks though.

Maybe because they are pigment and have shimmer??
ETA: I just looked up the october afternoon mists because I remember they were pigment. They were being sold for $5.50 for 1 oz and Altenew's is 2 oz, so it seems priced right.

If people are willing to pay, then they can price it as high as they want. I, however, am not one of those people.

I think $11.99 for a spray mist is nuts, but I'm sure some loyal followers will pay that. I try not to pay more than $6 for ink pads or spray mists.

Atleast that would be more affordable. SaveSave

I have been wondering for awhile about their price of stamps/dies as well. I love their look but won't pay over $50. for one stamp die set.

The Ton prices their stamps pretty reasonably considering they only have like one store with a physical presence (in NY) allowed to sell their stuff. I think it's a case of exclusivity...but the thing is, most companies releasing ink based things are using formulas that already exist, just using new colors. For instance, many companies adding inks to their product lines are using the Hero Arts formulation (or at least something really similar based on the constant 'this is a type of ink that stamps splotchy and blends together as it dries' comments I hear from Jennifer McGuire almost every time she showcases new inks in her product feature videos). With all of the ink spray options out there, I'm sure that they're using something similar and can offer it at a better price point, but their brand has value and there are people who will pay for it...just like there are people who will pay $9000 for a TV that is new technology even though it hasn't been perfected and will be a fraction of that if they waited a year or two just because it's shiny and new and even better if it's a coveted brand.

I remember someone once posting the maker who makes the inks for a LOT of the crafting companies. It was some non-craft-related bigger company and they looked nothing like a craft web site - but they were in the back-end making the inks for lots of the others "makers". OK - it was bugging me. Had to go through my browser history and I found this: www.stewartsuperior.com/

That's way out of my price range. And it's not like you can go to Michael's and use a coupon. Are these artist grade? That would help explain the high price..
