I live close to the area but I don't think I'll be going. I've never been to one. I wouldn't know what to expect lol

Yes! Looking forward to it! Although, my schedule only allows me to go on Saturday, so I didn't sign up for any classes. I usually only take the CK and Queen & co classes anyway, and CK isn't doing classes this year. I'll pick up the Queen & co classes this summer at the Expo in KC.

I've never been to one, but always been curious. What do you like best about the event and what should I expect? This one is close to home so I'm debating about going. Thanks!

I can't decide if I want to go or not. I haven't been in years. The classes are too expensive for me, so I'd just be going to shop. For those that went the last year or two, did you feel like the shopping was really worth it? Did they have good discounts on stuff?

I like the shopping (of course). You will find new products that haven't hit the big box stores yet. There are some bargain vendors that have older product at a reduced price. Some vendors will have most of their products for sale including things you won't see at a LSS. You will find all kinds of things that aren't carried at the big box stores or even a LSS. The other thing I like is taking a class or two. Without classes at CKC I would never have known the uses of chipboard, alcohol inks, or gelatos.

I wouldn't say there were necessarily good discounts on stuff although there have been some vendors in the past few years who have older product priced less. I like to see the new things that are out there that the big box stores never seem to get. Last year I took a class on gelatos and I still haven't seen them in our local stores. For me the shopping is worth it because I find things I won't find anywhere else.

Is it the kind of event that you would go by yourself?

Is it the kind of event that you would go by yourself? You can. I've always gone with a friend, but we would only see each other at breakfast, dinner, and in our hotel room at the end of the day. If you want I can take you around and introduce you to some of the vendors. I'm not hard to find since I'll be using a scooter or wheelchair. Or you can send me a message.

Is it the kind of event that you would go by yourself? Yes. And if you have a bunch of enabler friends like I do, you'll probably save some money that way, LOL! (But for full disclosure, its way more fun going with those enabler friends!)
