So I attended an event this weekend that was a bit of a bust. (PlannerCon 2017) One of the after-hours activities was a washi swap so I wrapped almost 200 floss bobbins and gift cards with washi in the hopes of getting rid of it and maybe bringing home a few new styles I'd use.
At the last minute they moved the start time of the swap to later at night and I was carpooling with someone who wasn't interested so I missed it. I managed to give away and trade some in workshops and classes, but I have a quite a bit left. What can I do with it?
I live in the middle of nowhere and don't go to meet-ups or crops, which would be the perfect place to take these. I've given a lot of art and craft materials to someone I know who works at a grade school, but last time I was at her house, I noticed the stuff still sitting in her garage. And I'm a little uncomfortable just dropping a box of colored tape at a place where I don't know anyone in case they smile and nod and then toss it out because they don't know what it is. LOL
Am I missing an obvious solution or should I just stick it in a drawer until the next expo/convention???
