I know Sephora is in the business of selling products but does any regular person use as many products and take as many steps to apply them as this? linkAnd I guess it could be my monitor (and reading the comments, people agree with me), but holy crap, she turned her face green with that makeup!

Her foundation is all wrong, but I dig her technique.
ETA: its a lot of product but she is doing a video for Sephora.

Yikes, I can't imagine anyone would actually use that many products everyday or even for a night out. But I'm lazy, so there's that.

I watch makeup tutorials regularly on youtube and no she is not using a lot of products. Yes on the weekends when I go out at night and will have my picture taken, I do all those steps. For work I only wear mascara, could care less how I look here. I didn't like her contour pencil, that looks difficult to use. I have those same brow products. I've never seen a youtube video with a white background, I wonder if that affects the lighting for how her skin looks on camera? I thought her overall make up look was very natural looking.

LOL wow!
Edited: the only things I think she went overboard on was prepping her face. But thats just me. I don't like what she did with her eye liner but to each their own.

I didn't watch the video because I'm at work, but I used 13 products when I got ready today. How many were in the video?
I used primer, foundation, under eye concealer, regular concealer, eyeshadow primer, powder, brow tint, eyeshadow, blush, highlighter, mascara, chapstick, and lip gloss.
I lied. 14. I forgot I put bronzer on today too.

The video only took her 12 minutes so it wasn't an insane amount of time.

I've seen people on Youtube use way more products than that and thank the lord she didn't do a ridiculous blob of highlighter right on the end of her nose.
If I'm going out I do most of those steps except brows, mine are thick and dark naturally so I think they're ok with just a brush through. I tend to concentrate mostly on my eyes and will use 3 or 4 different shadows.

My beauty regime consists of moisturizer, loose powder, mascara, brow gel, A&D ointment on my lips. I can't stand any kind of foundation. I am oily and it wipes off on everything and makes me breakout. Even concealer makes me breakout.

She looks good, but that's too much work for me. The last time I used a make up brush was in Middle School.

I just counted and I used 11 products today, but 4 of those were different mascaras. It takes me 10 minutes at the most to do my makeup.

I use Maybelline Lash Discovery for my bottom lashes. it has a teeny weeny wand that is perfect so I don't get mascara all under my eyes when I'm putting it on. The top lashes get Diorshow Primer, L'oreal Voluminous Butterfly Sculpt for tightlining, and then Lancome Drama mascara for the top coat to thicken things up a bit. It sounds crazy, but they each serve a purpose and I guess it really doesn't take any longer than applying multiple coats of the same thing.

I average 10 products that I use and I don't consider my makeup over the top by any means.

I use tons of products and end up with a "natural but polished look." I do serums, moisturizer with spf, primer, foundation, touch of powder, sometimes concealer under eyes, sometimes a little bronzer or contour but not always, blush, touch of highlighter, eye shadow primer, eyeshadow, brow product, eyeliner or a little shadow as eyeliner, mascara, lips, setting spray!

I average 10 products that I use and I don't consider my makeup over the top by any means. I would have said my make-up routine is as boringly essential as possible. Takes 5-6 minutes and I use 13 products. Half the time you can't even tell I am wearing make-up. It sounds like so many

I brush my teeth and my hair and wash my face in the shower and that's pretty much it. The very rare rare times I have ever used makeup it's some liquids stuff that's got a green tint to combat the rosacea, one of those eye shadow three colors in one compact and I only use one color, blush. And that's really too much.

I'm a basic eye liner & mascara gal. That's it!
But my oldest DD loves her some make-up. She spends a good 30 minutes in the morning doing her face. Her eyebrows are insane - she is meticulous about shaping them and plucking any stray bit.
I work from home, by myself, so don't often wear much at all!

Yeah, that foundation color was totally wrong for her skin tone.
If I had to put that much crap on my face, I would never wear makeup. That would take me forever!

I use 14 products on a regular light make up day and I can get it all done in about 12 minutes. When you do the same thing every day it's easy to go quickly.

Wow, I'm only as far as her finishing her foundation and concealers and she looks like she's got a green mask on her face! I guess I've gotten used to using only tinted moisturizer and allow imperfections to show through. quicky going through what I used (after serums and moisturizers/spf30): tinted moisturizer eyelid primer shadow liner 2 mascaras 2 products on my brows contour blush lip liner lip balm lip color yikes, that makes 13 for me
Off to watch the rest of the video.....
