ACA just moved around who had good coverage and who didn't. In all reality, it isn't covering that many more people than before ACA was enacted, but everyone's premiums are having to pay for a lot more than before -- you know, those "minimum essential benefits" as defined by HHS.
Ugh.....DH just changed jobs and took a pay decrease, but the employer does still have good coverage. So it did help offset it a bit. Not sure what we will do if it goes up much though!
This is simply not true for me. We were able to get better coverage for an affordable price. We both have huge medical expenses due to our issues and we finally can get the treatment we desperately need. The aca is helping many. It isn't all bad like some want us to believe. It still needs lots of work though. The ACA has been very helpful to people like you and your husband. For people like me and my husband, who are very healthy (fortunately), not so much. Our premiums tripled at renewal. Someone is subsidizing the great new coverage that you and your husband are enjoying. (And, for the record, I believe that our health care system needs compete reform. I do not believe the ACA is the answer.)
