I returned some clothes in the middle of November to Maurices and never received a refund. I figured they had gotten lost in the mail. I called in the middle of December to see if they had gotten them and the lady told me to wait until after the holidays.
Today I noticed the credit from Maurices.com on my credit card. Over 4 months later. How strange is that! jen

Any time I have done a return by mail it takes them six weeks, which is an obscenely long time to get your money back. But 4 months?? Wow! That's unbelievable. I would not have been happy to go that long without a refund.
I had another online return with Old Navy that took just over a month. In fact it took so long that by the time they processed the return they sent me an email stating the return period for the item had expired but they were giving me a refund as a courtesy anyway. I returned the item one day after I received it. Ridiculous. So now I just make the hour long trek to a Maurice's or Old Navy store if I have to return something. I do not trust them.

OMGosh, this happened to me recently! I thought it was just a coincidence.
I placed an order late November and a couple of weeks later, I packed up what I was sending back and returned it. I didn't hear squat for 2 months and finally called and they said there was no way to track if their warehouse had received it. They said it could take 4 weeks to process...um, this had been 8 weeks. Just a couple of weeks ago, my return was processed. Took almost 4 months also! So so ridiculous!
I have a store 10 minutes from me but I hate going in there. Guess I'll learn to not hate going in there, lol.

Wow! I am shocked that I am not the only one who has had this problem. I just posted on there Facebook page. And this was there response Hi Jennifer, we do apologize for this. We are aware of these issues and are working to improve them.
Thanks for the info peaname. It does look like they are closing a lot of stores. Jen

I just responded to them by saying, I just wanted to reiterate that it took over 4 months to do a return. That is over 1/3 of a year. Fall finished, winter came and went then we went into spring. Jen

I would have contacted my credit card before then. Since you have the return tracking info on a returned package you know exactly when they got it. There are time limits to when a store will give a return so if they were unwilling, I would dispute the charge.

Did I hear they are going out of business? Oh I sure hope not. They're my favorite store online and brick and mortar. When I travel to places with brick and mortar locations the employees are always so kind and helpful and the stores and clean and inviting.

That's crazy! There is seriously something wrong when it takes that long. It's why I use American Express for everything. Still, Geico had my bill wrong and I did not have 45 minutes to have them correct it. I went online but it said if I don't pay the total amount, they will add some massive surcharge. So I paid the whole amount and the next day was able to talk with them and they reduced the amount to the correct amount which was $500 less. Do you know when I get that $500 back? Geico says they will take at the minimum 7 to 10 days and then to expect the refund four to five days after that. Sigh.

I have not heard anywhere that they are going out of business! I doubt that is true. And I would be upset. I buy most of my work shirts there!

Wow! I had a return, but I just took it to the store. Thank goodness because I would have been pea livid by 4 months later.
