This is intriguing! It's like a dymo label maker but you use washi. It will be interesting to see how you insert it, if it has to be DCWV washi tape,... So many questions! I did some googling, but can't find any more info than what I saw on instagram. http://instagr.am/p/BSRAuACjYmQ

Hmmmm.... I was just saying to myself yesterday, I am not buying anymore washi. Some of the ones I have are starting to stick so much, I can hardly get it off the roll without ripping it.

I just went on Facebook and saw it posted on DCWV page. A lady commented, "I think I'll just stick to my existing label maker. Print on clear tape and adhere to washi. That way I use my huge washi stash and save $80." So I was onto something. I forgot they had clear, I was thinking only white tape. That is ballsy making a comment like that on a company's page. It's like walking into a scrapbook store and saying I can buy this cheaper at Wal-Mart!

I think it's a waste of money. And it seems thermal with it using no ink...means non permanence to me. Without the benefit of using the insane amount of washi I already own to boot...why would I put myself in the position to buy more tape that is washi like? I can probably use staz-on and stamp on washi I already have with my equally insane stamp collection. I am glad they are trying to be innovative since I only know them for paper stacks (some that make decor not layouts) and wall quotes (hobby lobby), but I think they missed the mark here.

From what I have read, you have to use their tape.... if I could use my endless supply of washi (that my puppy didn't get lol) I would consider it. But the price would have to be lower. I had heard that M's was going to be carrying it, but its not on their website. So I am sure if they do sell it, it will be excluded from their coupons because thats pretty much how M's works

I think it looks like a cool idea, but the first thing I thought was what was mentioned about using clear tape with my label maker. I've already got more washi than I'll ever use.

I have similiar little printers pinned on pinterest but the item was never available in the US before. They are very cute and i am intrigued but now I'm interested in using my brother lable printer with clear tape over my existing washi. I have clear tape but never thought about doing that.

I saw this pop up on my facebook feed and it looked really useful! The only issue for me was it seems you have to use their washi and I have enough washi to last the rest of my life.

No thanks. I have rolls and rolls of washi and certainly don't want to be buying more. Plus I don't have a great need for a label maker.

Cool idea, but better idea is to use the clear from a label maker and put on the Washi that I already have and hardly touch!

It is probably a good tool for someone who has no washi to start with or someone who has a big organization project that they want to look really cute.

I have a washi tape printer similar to the one in the video posted above. It can only use the special tape, which is expensive and hard to find. It prints nicely but the printing fades pretty quickly. I wouldn't buy it again.

I got a really good label maker and I love it! I ordered it on my last day of work at a stationary store LOL. That was kind of funny, but the manager was all "YES order it today!!!" so I did!

I saw this at Michael's. The tape is marked $7.99 a roll! Another "no" from me. And I love the clear dymo tape idea to use with already-owned washi.

I never thought of using pieces of washi to frame words or sayings. I have a ton of washi and a nice label machine so all I need is some clear tape and I'm set. Yeah, that machine plus the tape is quite a bit to spend. For the same amount you could buy a a much cheaper labeled and a giant pile of washi in in the designs of your choice.

Since washi tape isn't that sticky you could easily cut your own tape and put on a sheet of paper or even a transparency and run through your own printer.

I have fonts and things with my tape printer, too. I think I can also print in a couple of languages, too I believe. I love it!!!
