Ali is starting WITL on Monday. Is anyone playing along? If you are, are you preparing in advance? Do you have a theme or focus this year? Any first timers? If you've done it before, anything you're changing this year?
I've done it the last 3 years and honestly I love those albums. I've never done it the week that Ali is doing it, though, I usually wait for a week when I know I'll have the time and stamina to do it for the whole week. I might try at the end of the month. I usually prepare by charging my camera battery and making sure it's "out" so that I remember to pick it up and use it. Other than that, I wait until the week is finished to really start scrapping it.

I'm doing it! Absolutely no preparation here, no theme, no nothing. I decided we'll give it a go and I'll try and get my husband to take a few photos while he's out and about at work.
I'll use a mixtue pf my phone camera and my little point and shoot, which makes it easier to so self-timed shots because it stands up without falling over.

I was hoping to do it this week but my photo printer died. I'm hoping to get a new one for Mother's Day, so my WITL will have to wait until after that.
I've never done the WITL before. I did do a December Daily once, so I imagine my preparation will be much like that was - gathering supplies and ideas in the weeks before I begin, and then trying to keep up with creating it during the week instead of waiting until the end of the week to do it all. I'll also try to get my husband and son involved in taking pictures and writing their thoughts down.

I am! Some of my very favorite photos have come from this project. It's also a good time to get me back into the swing of taking pictures. After DD I'm usually burnt out and you can tell because I don't take as many in the following months. The only prep that I do is deciding to use either my big camera or my phone. I find when I go back and forth between the two it's way more frustrating and harder to track, so I stick with one. No assembly of the album is done during the actual week...I save that for the next weeks.

I have never done WITL but I have been doing Ali's December Daily most years since 2009. Those turn out a lot like "A Month in the Life".
Now that my 3 DD are young adults, I count on them to supply me with photos which helps a lot to fill out the book for an "empty nester". I have quite few mini-albums sitting around so WITL might be a good use for one of those.

I will be doing it starting tomorrow. I've planned on 7 double page spreads in my April Cocoa Daisy traveler's notebook. I plan to use my stash and, because I want to keep the pages pretty flat, will just use journaling cards, die cuts, stamps and word phrases.

I am starting tomorrow. I think this will be my fourth year. This is one of my favorite projects. During the week I will take photos and make notes. I will put the album together in the following weeks. This year I am going to loosely follow a theme Ali suggested in one of her posts. I have made a list of photos I would like to take each day after looking at our calendar and some theme ideas. For example Sundays theme is gratitude and Thursday it's ing words like reading, eating, watching, wearing. Looking forward to it!

marie , that sounds almost exactly how I normally do it, too. I like having those days that have a theme. Last year I think I did a theme/focus each day just to keep it interesting. freeatlast , I really like the idea of doing it in a TN and keeping it to 2 pages per day. Are you pre-prepping your pages at all? You've got me thinking about doing that format now. I did 30 Days of Thankful in my CD Daisy Dori last November and I loved that process. sophikins , I think that would be a great way to get all the kids photos for the week together in one book. Really love the idea of including others' photos. needtime2scrap , I agree, some of my very photos have been from WITL, just because my focus is on getting the photo and I try to use my big camera. This project is great for that. marg , I did May last year for WITL and it turned out great. So many events over the Memorial Day holiday weekend meant I had loads of photos to choose from. Good luck with your printer and prep. JaneB, the self-timer is one of the reasons I like using my big camera, too. Good luck to everyone starting this week! I'll be watching Ali's blog for her ideas. She always does something that blows me away and gets me thinking about my routines in a new way.

I did mine for the last week of March so I could have it all wrapped up to work into our own schedule. I'm so glad it's done and on the shelf.

I am starting today I love this project. I ordered the kit this time, for the first time. I set the album up in a way similar to Ali. I got a place ready to keep my notes for the week, but I wont do anything w/ the notes or the pics until the week is over. I am doing kind of what Marie is doing, based on Ali's blog post with a theme for each day. I changed a couple, and moved some around, but I think having a little guide this year will help me capture more different things. I am a single empty nester and not a very exciting one at that

I've never done it. I did start it once many years ago, but failed miserably. I should pick a week this year and do it. Just not next week, as I would need to prep.

How was the first day then?
I managed quite a few photos, forgot to document meals and I had a lovely sweet and sour chicken last night, made by my dearest. I roped him in to take a few photos for me too, as he was home for the Bank Holiday. Back to work today though!

Well, nothing is in my TN yet. And I've decided not to work on it until after my crafty weekend getaway at the end of the month. All crafty time right now is devoted to getting ready for that weekend. That said, I'm focusing on getting 3 to 5 photos per day to capture my current life. I'm jotting down what stories I want to tell for each day. Today is Day 3 for me and so far, so good.

I am doing it for the first time. I did DITL, last June, that was fun. I started on Sunday (the 16th). I got some great Easter photos to include. Yesterday, Monday, I had a little friend (bunny) with me at work, so will have fun documenting that.
I do no prep work. I let the muse hit me when I go to work on the layout.

One thing I have a hard time remembering is to bring my phone with so I can take a picture. lol I was just at the school here in the town I work in (I have no kids), and I didn't have my phone with to document the moment. Fortunately I can go back and snap a pic of the school later. How is everyone doing?

I hit a snag today. Somehow, between 2am and 5.55am when I get up I've pulled a muscle in my ribs/just under my left arm. I mean, really? I'm groaning like an old woman and getting fed up to boot.
I do have some page templates ready though, and even some photos so I might make a start putting them together.

I'm doing ok. I was planning on just using one camera (phone/big phone) but I've given up that and just what I have. Trying to download my photos each night into a dedicated folder for each day. That way I can keep things straight.

I'm just getting over pneumonia and am not ready to start. May 14th is a great week because it starts with Mother's Day! I might do that week, too!

I actually had a busier than normal week during that time, but I still hardly have any pictures for each day. Oh well, it was fun and I can't wait to put the pages together.

LisaDV , are you still doing it this week? Totally forgot until I saw this thread pop up today. So I went on amazon and added a 6x8 album and protectors to my cart. When are you going to start? Maybe I should do it along with you to make myself accountable!!
