I would have loved to see the look on DH's face when he got that text this morning.
But don't worry, I got a judge's ruling (the judge being my BFF) that fixing one's poking bra wire with duct tape does not, in fact, make one a redneck. It shows that one is resourceful and thrifty. Oh, and hates bra shopping.
Now I'm not sure how long the tape will last, so please share your best bra shopping places and brands you love.

I keep a small roll of duct tape in my purse (got from outdoor stores).. has come in handy at times.

I am no help in the bra shopping category! I hate it too. Once I find one, I will buy several. Then I am screwed when they don't sell that one anymore.

Lol. You know that saying, attributed to who-knows-who... "If it moves and it shouldn’t, you need duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should, you need WD40." In fact I just got finished using WD40 on the hinges of our front door which was starting to sound like a door from a haunted house (squeeeeeeeak, squeeeeeeeeak). Haven't used the duct tape recently but we have several rolls of it in nice pretty colors ready for when it's needed. As for bra shopping...don't ask me, I hate it and have given up ever finding one that's comfortable. Mostly I wear a sports bra all the time.

Ooh! I hadn't thought of this use. I usually hand bra to dh to Clip Off offending pokey Piece with wire cutters and it works for awhile and then new piece works it way out and clip and then I bite the bullet and throw it away.

OMG...This reminded me of when my daughter was approaching puberty and I decided it was a good time to talk to her about bra shopping. To my suggestion of bra shopping she replied that we did not in fact need to do that. I inquired why. She told me it wasn't necessary since dad was duct taping them flat!!! (she thought he was serious LOL)

This reminds me of the Naked and Afraid episode last week. The one girl used duct tape to make a bra and put it on other soft spots to keep from the sun. It must have been one of those items she brought. I wasn't sure if it was creative thinking in survival purposes or what not, but it seemed to do the job!

Pro tip: use a small piece of foam with the duct tape to ensure the wire doesn't work through the tape (because it can!) I have used duct tape many a time. Duct tape bra does not a redneck make.

Hate bra shopping with a passion! I use the felt stuff that you use on corns to fix my bras.

Glad to know I am not alone in my dread of bra shopping.
It is almost impossible to order online without trying on because not all brands fit the same in the same size. One website had you choose a sketch of what your breasts look like in addition to your size in order to recommend a bra that fits. There was athletic, asymmetrical, East/West etc. At least my graphic was labeled "relaxed" instead of "saggy"!
BBC suggested a website that asks for 5 different measurements, one of which is bent at the waist so DH would have to help, but I haven't gotten the courage to try it yet, LOL.
