My husband needs something easy to navigate to create invoices for jobs. Prefer a program he can download into his tablet so he has it with him (verse a disc he has to install)
Any recommendations?

Both my landscaper and exterminator use Quickbooks. Works great for them and for me the customer.

Is it a monthly fee?

No monthly fee. You buy the program and can easily create and email invoices. Plus it's great for all the financials of the business. You can add online payment - either ACH or credit card (beware of the fees!) as well. Those do have different payment options depending on the number of invoices you send each month. ETA - you have to pay additionally for online payment options if that wasn't clear. For a few payments a month you can just pay a per transaction fee - $0.50 per ACH, there's also straight monthly unlimited plans if you have a lot of invoices.

I should add - they have online Quickbooks now where you pay a monthly fee. I've used the desktop version for years, so am not familiar with the online version.

you can make invoices from Excel and Google Sheets too just look in the templates section but if you want to track those invoices along with expenses etc for bookkeeping, then QuickBooks is the way to go the website has all the pricing + features to help you decide which is right for him quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/

I use Google docs and export it as a pdf and email to client. The gal who does the books just goes into the Google Drive to reconcile every month. But I donlt have a ton of clients.

We also use QuickBooks for all of our business invoices. It is user friendly and does a lot of stuff!
