I can't be the only house who will organize it and a a week later it's chaos and no tops and bowls match!? I have a large open space with one shelf...i went today and brought some good size basket bins at dollar tree to try and corral...i swear I'm going to do a # system when I find a match! Lol
What's your method? Pics even better!

I don't have a system. I have a drawer and I can never find anything in it. I am thinking of getting one of those pegboard systems to see if that helps. Baskets might work too, but it would require my family to actually stack the dishes that are supposed to be stacked instead of just throwing everything willy nilly into the drawer.

In a fit of rage I threw out all of my cheap Gladware and went to Costco and bought color coded Snapware. The lids match the rubber seal so I hardly have to think about what goes where. I bought plastic sectioned holders and align the lids in size and ROYGBIV order to soothe my former merchandiser soul.
The lids are all aligned above the bottoms. The bottoms are stacked and aligned in the same order under their lids. It's a PITA when you want to quickly empty the dishwasher, but my life is a little less chaotic when I take the time to be organized. I keep all of my Tupperware in a tall pantry. Taking it out of the random cabinet also helped force me to be more mindful and organized.

I tried something new.. I got a basket to fit in my cabinet for all the smallish tupperware... that had helped a ton. So far, a month into it my cabinet still looks decent. I do slow down and stack the lids under the matching bowls. And I tossed all mismatched pieces.

I have 2 drawers. Bowls in one drawer, lids in the other. Works well enough for me. And the kids have figured it out enough to put everything away when they empty the dishwasher, so I figure that's a win.

This is one of the few areas I have under control. I keep mine in a drawer and they are all in nested stacks with the lids standing on their sides either between stacks or in a larger container. There are 2 add sized containers I set on top of the round containers which lay on their side because they stack high.

I had a system that was working for a while and then it didn't. I had three rows in the cabinet, I stacked according to shape, and nested everything inside of each other. Left row was rectangles Middle Row was squares Right Row was circular Then on the top shelf I had magazine file boxes (from Dollar Tree I think? This is what I am referring to Magazine file box) and put the corresponding shaped cover in there. And labeled it for the rest of the family. You should have heard DH looking for covers, muttering to himself, okay what shape do I need? Ha ha. It worked like a dream for a while and then it didn't. I think some bottoms were thrown out and no one told me or something because I have an excess of tops with no bottoms. But that seemed to work. The magazine file box idea I got from an organizer girl on Youtube, she had some other great organizing ideas. Edited to add: This is a link to her ideas, though I can't recall where I saw her idea where she used the magazine file box (it may have been someone else entirely from Pinterest my apologies). However she has other great videos/ideas. Alejandra organizing

I got rid of all my plastic containers. I bought the glass containers with snap on lids. I find the square and rectangle shapes fit cupboards and refrigerator better than round. The lids are standing on their sides held in place by a stack of the containers.
It stays nice and tidy.

We've slowly switched over to nearly all glass jars for actual food items that we keep at home. Then we just have one cupboard with plastic containers for the kids to use in their lunches, and they are all Rubbermaid Lunch Blox, so they all fit into one another beautifully and we can just make neat stacks of them. The only other plastic rubbermaid we use for food at home now are very large rectangles, and again, because they are all the same size, we just have one stack of them. That's for things like baked goods or pizza, that are too large to put into glass jars.

That's a great idea,, I think I may do that because more often then not the bottoms get stuffed at the back of the fridge, stuff gets old/moldy and people toss it (Gladware, etd.) The glass I may have a better retention ability since I can wash, no one will be tossing, etc.

I bought all rubbermaid for lunches/leftovers and I just nest the same size bowls/containers inside each other and put the corresponding lids under those bowls/containers. The lids all snap together so they don't get lost.
The few larger tupperwear bowls I have that have lids, I do the same with. I nest them large to small and keep the lids stacked under them.

Surprisingly, our cabinet stays pretty organized. We have all the same Rubbermaid plastic, I got rid of all the non matching ones. We keep them stacked, 3 separate stacks for the 3 separate sizes. In the large and medium size, they are stacked by volume size (the small ones are just one size) - the medium ones have 2 sizes, stacked large on bottom, smaller on top, the large has 3 sizes, stacked large to small, too.
All lids are in one non-matching plastic that I kept to just put the lids in. We have been doing this for over a year and I don't have the mess I used to.

I stack like sized containers together and then I keep a bin next to it to hold lids. I organize the lid bin when I put the dishes away (because when other people empty the dishwasher they just toss the lids in the bin). It only takes me about 30 seconds to get it tidied up. About once every couple of months, I take everything out and make sure there are no containers without lids or vice versa, and I throw away anything that is getting worn out.

I'm no help, my cabinet right now is a hot mess. If I am in a hurry I just throw stuff in the cabinet and slam the door.!

Add me to the "dumped the mismatched old tupperware for Rubbermaid" group. I did keep a few of my old items that I couldn't find in Rubbermaid (large bowls mostly). This really helped me organize and I think I have more pieces now too in the same space.

I occasionally throw out all my containers and buy a new set or two of Rubbermaid Easy Lid containers at Sam's Club. They had the 50 piece set for $15 (I think) last week, so I picked one up.

If you open my Tupperware cabinet, move back quickly before everything tumbles onto your toes. This thread has me considering switching my Tupperware to a drawer instead of a cabinet....hmmmm.....

*sigh* Mine doesn't either. I used to give this job to my kids every other week! Now it stays neat about one month. I put the tops on the containers and put them in. It uses a lot more space, but I can find tops, now. I'm also switching to all glass, but I need some plastic so I can bring containers and not worry about getting them back.

I got rid of all my Tupperware a while back due to bpa concerns and switched to Rubbermaid containers with the easy find lids. The containers stack nicely and I keep the lids standing on their sides in a bin.

I dumped everything that didn't nest together to save space before we moved. I have four stacks in a corner cabinet with a lazy Susan inside. Each size (depth) of the big ones has a stack (3 sets of each), and the small ones are stacked together (two sets). The nice thing is that all the big ones take one size lid and all the small ones take the other size lid. The lids are all collected together with the big ones on one end and the small ones on the other end.
I also saved a few big cottage cheese containers from Costco for DH to use to collect the fresh eggs from the chicken coop. He was driving me nuts with his big nasty buckets on the kitchen counter!

I have a variety of different brands and sizes because that seems to work best for us. I prep ahead and need containers for that. We cook large meals to specifically have leftovers so that's more containers. And we both take lunches to work regularly.
I have two cabinets dedicated to all the various storage containers. The smaller ones go in the upper cabinet and the larger in the lower. I store everything with its lid on so they take up more room that way, but we never have to matching game which is a real plus when the containers are as mismatched as ours.

My cabinet could be easily organized if I wasn't the only one who cared to keep it organized. Everyone else in the house just throws the stuff in there.

I just like to chuck stuff in a drawer. I can organise it perfectly but it won't stay that way so what I do now is containers on one side of the drawer, lids in a divider on the other side. Drink bottles standing up next to the lids. Looks more organised and I can still just chuck stuff in!

If you open my Tupperware cabinet, move back quickly before everything tumbles onto your toes. This thread has me considering switching my Tupperware to a drawer instead of a cabinet....hmmmm..... I swear, if I ever get divorced it will be because DH has opened the Tupperware cabinet one too many times, and had it all come falling out onto his toes. There is NOTHING in our home that frustrates him more. I'm not a fan of it all either, but I always find myself thinking, "I've tried about six solutions and none of them have solved the problem. Your turn, dear."
