Hi everyone. I've always been interested in papercrafting, but have only recently started to get into it a little more seriously. I have some questions that I haven't been able to find answers to, and I'm hoping to get some help 1. Liquid adhesive I want to get a better liquid glue than the generic white glue I have been using so far. I don't like it because the nozzle is too big, and the glue is so wet it always warps my paper. I looked around and found out about the Scotch Quick Dry glue, which looks like it will be perfect for me, but when I went to my local Michaels, the packaging looked completely different. Then I looked on Amazon, and found 2 other versions! Are all of these the same? If not, which one is better, and where can I buy it at a good price? I'm in Canada. The one I originally saw on YT: www.amazon.ca/3M-Scotch-Quick-Dry-Tacky-Adhesive/dp/B00DUI56BW/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1493575555&sr=8-5&keywords=scotch+quick+dryThe one at Michaels: www.amazon.ca/3M-Scotch-Quick-Dry-Tacky-Adhesive/dp/B0028DC0W8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1493575555&sr=8-3&keywords=scotch+quick+dryThe third version that has me completely confused: www.amazon.ca/Scotch-Quick-Tacky-Non-Toxic-MMM6052B/dp/B00BC0L7FO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1493575555&sr=8-1&keywords=scotch+quick+dry2. Foam tape I don't want to spend $30+ on the gigantic roll of Scotch foam tape right now. Is foam tape from Dollar Tree completely terrible for shaker cards/general use? Is there a better alternative to both? 3. Magnetic sheets for die storage I've been buying good quality magnetic sheets from the Dollar Tree, that are about 5x8 because I didn't have too many dies. Then I found a few amazing deals and now I need way more sheets YouTube suggests buying vent covers, but they're kind of expensive here in Toronto... Amazon has no better alternatives either. Then I found this magnetic paper by ProMAG at Michaels ( canada.michaels.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-MichaelsCanada-Site/en_CA/Product-Show?pid=10333215 ) which is much thinner than the Dollar Tree sheets. Has anyone else used this? Is it any good, or should I just return it? Any better suggestions for magnetic sheets? 4. We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board Is this still available at Michaels in Canada? I haven't seen it at my local store recently... Phew, that's a lot of questions! Thank you so much for reading and for your help.

1. Liquid Adhesive: The 1st link and the 3rd link are actually exactly the same, the bottle just changed designs a bit. Not sure about the one in white. I use the red bottle. But I usually use a double sided tape for my paper to paper or photo to paper adhesion. I use this liquid glue for heavy chipboard or wood veneers.
2. Foam Tape. I've never used the $ store foam. I just buy the gigantic roll or the small rolls when on sale. I'd try the $ store foam and see if you like it and how it holds up. Not much help here. sorry.
3 & 4. Sorry, can't help you here.
Good luck. Have fun.

For cards, I would buy the cheapest foam tape. If you scrapbook, look for archival quality. My favorite liquid glue for paper crafting is Zig. There are several different size tips. I generally use this one linkFor tiny little bits I like the Quickie glue pen link

Welcome to the hobby!
1. I've used liquid adhesive only a couple times over a decade of creating scrapbook pages. My everyday adhesives are tape runners (https://www.scrapbook-adhesives.com/t/categories/tapes-and-dispensers).
2. While I've not made a shaker box recently, I use foam tape on occasion. My favorite is at the bottom of the page linked above.
3. My die storage system is a hybrid of binders & magnetic folders (both discontinued long ago). If you continue to buy the thick magnetic sheets, you could slip each one in a page protector, using both sides for die storage, & store them in a binder that would take up little space on a shelf. Another option is to accumulate the magetic sheets holding dies in an open or lidded basket & easily flip through them to find the desired die. If you have wall space, a large magnetic memo board(s) holds lots of dies.
4. I'm not in Canada, but have seen that punch board at other craft chain stores, Target, & Tuesday Morning. Perhaps another local store has it in stock.
Happy organizing & scrapping!

For liquid adhesive, you shouldn't need much at all. I highly recommend the Ranger Matte Medium.
I would also recommend the Scotch foam tape. You def don't need to buy a roll that big though. The ones on Amazon that are add on items ($5-ish) are plenty for awhile.

Hi, midorica! Welcome to papercrafting! I can't help you with your questions, except that I live in Colorado where it's really dry. A lot of the adhesive on my foam tape has dried out before I used it. I add a shmear of gluestick to it to make sure it's sticky enough. The most important thing to look for in an adhesive is that it's acid-free and lignin-free so it doesn't damage the photos. I think I've heard that some people get a sheet of fun foam (from Dollar Tree/Walmart/Michaels/etc) and cut a thin strip of it to use to add dimension. Basically making their own foam tape, but just as you need it instead of a whole roll of it. That actually would be a good idea for me, as long as the foam would be acid-free.

Then I looked on Amazon, and found 2 other versions! Are all of these the same? If not, which one is better, and where can I buy it at a good price? I'm in Canada. I use Zig liquid adhesive. It's cheap, readily available, and I have a few different sizes of pens to fit my needs. I use the Squeeze and Roll pen the most often. Zig Pen
If I'm gluing metal or an embellishment that I think may not stick well, I use Glossy Accents. The tip is very small!2. Foam tape I don't want to spend $30+ on the gigantic roll of Scotch foam tape right now. Is foam tape from Dollar Tree completely terrible for shaker cards/general use? Is there a better alternative to both? For cards, I'd use the cheap stuff. Otherwise, I just buy small rolls or a roll of 3M at Michael's with a coupon.3. Has anyone else used this? Is it any good, or should I just return it? Any better suggestions for magnetic sheets? I bought cheap magnetic sheets off of ebay and then backed them with chipboard I bought from Mike's or JoAnn's. I keep them (and the dies!) in clear file folders from Staples. Clear File Folders I keep them on a shelf in a self standing file keeper like this one, but cuter to match my room. File Box
Depending on how many you have, I also have a frame that I hung in my studio with a magnetic sheet. I keep my most used & newer dies in it for quick access.
4. We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board It's available at ours in the DC area, but it's a big store. Amazon has it, along with several others of the WRMK punch boards Gift Bag Punch Board

Wow, thank you all so much for the replies and the great suggestions! I will look into all the liquid adhesives suggested for my cardmaking. I should clarify though, that I also want to use liquid adhesive for a mini-album I am planning to make... I'm assuming the Scotch Quick Dry I found at Michaels should be ok then?

I love how you've organized your dies, thank you for sharing! Will keep this in mind for when I have a better craft space than just my dining table

The ones on Amazon that are add on items ($5-ish) are plenty for awhile. I second the Ranger Matte Multi-Medium. That stuff was a game changer for me, and I tried dozens of liquid glues. I get the little stickles-type bottle with an ultra-fine tip for die cuts, and the 4oz tub for larger applications. It lasts forever, sticks great, and dries super clear and matte, so you never see it if it oozes. It's also easy to control on tiny die-cuts. I buy mine online, but I'm US.

The 3M glue is good, but I prefer Tombow Mono Multi with the green cap. It has two applicators, one tiny for small spaces and a wider one for larger areas. It doesn't warp, dries fast and is permanent. I haven't ever had anything come apart that has been glued with it and I've been using it for over 20 years.
You can use any cheap foam tape or even fun foam for shaker cards and the like, but I would use an archival product for scrapbooking. Some of the foam tape I've had around for a while gets dried out and crumbly over time which wouldn't be great in a scrapbook.
I can't really help you with the magnet sheeting, I need to find some myself!
I just saw the envelope punch board the other day at the Tuesday Morning store here for about ten or fifteen bucks. Not sure if you have those stores where you are, but you can probably also find one at Michaels or Amazon too. Check out YouTube once you get one, there are a ton of other things you can do with it besides making envelopes!
Happy crafting to you! It's a ton of fun.

Not an answer to your questions, but a tip for #1 - when the tip of the glue is too large. When the tip is too large I put a tiny bit of glue on the pointy end of a straight pin and use that to apply to the paper. Be sure to clean off the tip of the pin when finished.

I'm in Canada, too. I've used foam tape as well as the double-sided tape from A Buck or Two and it was excellent quality and very, very strong. I haven't used the Dollar Tree adhesives, but I wouldn't hesitate to try them out. I stocked up on the other dollar store ones because I was afraid they'd stop carrying them - and then A Buck or Two closed where I live, so thank God I did. Dollar Tree just opened up here so I'll check them out.
For liquid glue, I love Tombow Mono Multi, as others have mentioned. It dries clear, and really holds fast. I do use Ranger matte medium as well, and that's a good one too. I get the Tombow one from Stampin' Up! - that's the main reason I prefer it to the Ranger one. For cardmaking, I mostly used double-sided adhesive like the dollar store rolls, or my ATG gun - it's fantastic, it uses 3M adhesive refills.
I bought some magnetic sheets from Staples, and that worked pretty well, but then I changed my system to just putting my metal dies loose into Avery Elle pockets, (the same pockets I use to store my clear stamps in). I'm fine with having them loose in there.
I can't tell you about the gift bag punch board - I was just at Michael's last week, and I thought I saw it, but I'm not totally sure. I'm pretty sure that Stampin' Up! will have it in their new catalogue that launches June 1.
