It has been a while and I'm looking for some new albums - what is the favorite these days and why? Thanks,

WRMK leather albums. I have 50+ of them and they all have held up well. One time the metal rings didn't match up and I returned them for ones that did.

These are my favorite, by far.

My favorite 12x12 is Close to My Heart but I don't own any. They are high quality and hold a lot of pages.
My favorite 8.5x11 is now made by Umbrella Crafts but used to be Hiller/Living Oak. It is 3 ring and I love 3 ring
Most beautiful albums are 3 ring WRMK. The only reason they are not my favorite over the Umbrella Craft ones is they hold fewer pages.

Add me to the list of WRMK album lovers! Im slowly switching over all my albums to these.
Edited to add: I have been scrapbooking for 20 years and started buying WRMK albums within the last 8 years. Out of all the albums I own, these hold up the best over time.

I've switched all my albums to WRMK, too. They have held up well. I had one I returned because the metal pulled away from the binding. That is one out of 50.

I use WRMK or Pioneer. Both are good quality. Lately I have been ordering the really fat ones. myboysnme, how many pages fit into the Umbrella brand?

I have tried them all; or at least three...strap hinge, post bound, three ring binders.
I prefer three ring binders for the ease of moving layouts around. I don't scrap chronologically but I prefer to store my layouts that way, so the ability to move the layouts easily is important to me.
I use HL brand as they are easily available and go on sale often.

I came home and counted and I can't give an accurate answer. I have crammed as many as 70 pages in a WRMK but I usually put 50. So I guess that's 25 page protectors. The Umbrella Crafts albums I have filled I have put about the same amount as I did in the WRMK, so I went ahead and put in as many as I could in a current Umbrella Crafts album and it easily took the 70 pages so that's 35 page protectors. It looks like Umbrella albums fit about 20 more layouts. Everything always depends on how fat the pages are!

I thought all 12x12s were the same size. I would LOVE an album that held a little more, my DD WRMK album is literally bursting and the rings dont hold together well anymore

WRMK is great. Another vote from me. But Simple Stories offers even better faux leather albums in terms of quality. They're the Rolls-Royce of ring albums as far as I'm concered. Alas, the colour range is very limited (as well as the sizes they offer these in: only 12x12 and 6x8) and not quite on trend.

WRMK or Project Life (which are made by American Crafts) since I like to use divided protectors.

They have 2 1/2" rings instead of the standard 2", and the spine is 4" I have about 30 page protectors in most of mine, with 2 pages back to back in each. And some of my pages can be a little on the fat side too with flowers and cb, and corrugated cardboard, metal, whatever, on them.

I have always been a fan of American Crafts albums. I recently switched from their postbound to their 3 ring.

I like the WRMK ones best too. They hold so much, and they are sturdy. Some of my other albums did not hold up so well after many years. Also love the colors of the WRMK albums.
