Went and got my first mammogram before work today. Was in a total hurry getting dressed afterward, because...before work. So, I'm driving to work and I feel...weirdness. And then I notice I'd forgotten to take off the nipple marker stickies they put on before the scan! SO, I RRRRIIIIP them off in the car by jamming my hand down the front of my shirt while driving...past the elementary school. Basically, I'm barely an adult. I'm 42.  |

You guys didn't get nip stickers?? They were to "mark the nipple." I did notice there were multiple sizes of stickers....hahahaha! They were on rolls on the wall! I should have asked for extra for scrapbooking. LOL

Never had them either and I've had mammograms at three different facilities. They must have pretty good adhesion because those presses could pop a zit off your chest!  |

I had a sticker but it was for a mole, not my nipples.... I did have a lost marker from an ekg that got stuck in the underside of my breast though.... LOL

Never had them either! They are cute! They're not cute when you rip them off! They hurt! Everybody talks about the squish being painful. Uh uh. No way. The squish was fine. Didn't bother me in the least. Ripping the damn stickers off - not so much! |

Ok so wait.. they put these ON your nipples? I'm really curious as to how you could forget they were there and then go put a bra on top of them! Cause that would not be forgotten if it was me 😂

They had to squish much harder the second time. I'm FULLY expecting a call back because it's my first and I guess a lot of times they want more info/imaging. But, I have a fairly high tolerance for pain. It's only a handful of seconds of squeeze. It was harder to not breathe! |

I had them with my first mammogram in 1993. My next, and most recent, one was in 2014 and I did NOT get them! Wonder if it has to do with digital imaging vs. traditional x-ray imaging?

They put them on one of my nipples but not the other. I've wondered if it has to do with the place the nipple sits?
I have one nipple that is at the "end" of the breast where it curves but the other nipple sits oddly higher. So when the machine squeezes me, one nipple points up and is smashed against the upper plate instead of pointing forward between the plates. The up facing nipple is the one that gets the sticker.

I've had these before (and I admit I scrapped the first set in my Project Life). Since then it seems to be hit or miss if i have to use them. The first few times they were in the changing room and i was instructed to stick them on. Then they weren't in the room, then once the tech applied them. My last mammo was in March, no nipple stickers.

I'm still pissed I don't get stickers. I get an old lady with an attitude and cold hands. A couple stickers would make it fun. Sticker sneeze on your boobs. I'd put 5 on each boob and screw with the radiologist.

Not just some guy with a fetish for older women with nipple stickers on taking photos for his own...err...pleasure?

I've had lots of mammograms (in fact, I'm having one tomorrow) and never had stickers. I've been getting 3D imagining and then they do an ultrasound right after (I have a "complex cluster of cysts behind one of my nipples" is what they say).

The stickers have a little metal bead in the center. I assumed it was to help with orientation when reading the film. I just googled and they are markers to identify the nipples and sometimes moles. The darker skin must have some impact on the imaging.

I get stickers but they're boring white. I like those colorful ones. The ones I've had are really sticky. Like nipple stretching sticky.
