If time and money were no object, where and when and how would you scrap?
Would you retreat to a beach house somewhere with friends? Stay in your own perfect little--or large--craft room and play away alone? Scrap a little every day? Save it all for one or a couple or a few days per year when you focus only on this craft?
Would you stick to the facts, only the facts, Ma'am, or would you tell fantastic detailed stories? Would you use lots of photos, or only a few that really illustrate the tale you want to tell?
Would you stick to pages about current events in your life? Or delve into the past of yourself and members of your family?
Would you learn new techniques or rely on the tried and true? Would you purchase pre made elements, or choose to create your own one-of-a-kind treasures? Search for the perfect patterned paper or create your own designs with cs and paints and inks and...?
What would be your dream experience in this craft?

If I had all the monies, I'd find a house with a huge studio and a view of a mountain and lake, and get on auto-ship on everyone's list (American Crafts, Pink Paislee, all the kit clubs, etc). I'd have all the things.
If I had all the time, I think I'd still tell my stories the way I tell them now. Some short, some long, some just about a great photo. I would go back and fill in. If I could spend a bunch of time with my parents I'd get all their stories written down. I'm trying to do some of that, but I don't see them often enough and I don't have too many of their photos.
What I really want is a time machine. I think many of us can relate. I would love to have my grandmother's stories.

I would buy a large house near one of the lakes about an hour from Munich, preferably with mountain views as well. I'd have a large studio for me, with custom designed storage, so everything had its proper place. I would also have space to host crops for about 12-15 people, as I miss going to crops here. I would continue to travel so as to keep giving myself new things to scrap, but also search out and document as much as I could of my family history. I think I'd stick to my tried and true techniques, but that would include making some of my own embellishments, as well as feeling free to buy everything I liked.

My dream would be a large studio in my home that was organized to use most of the time. Also I would have a beach home for a few months that I could have a retreat to just craft. I would have enough room that if people wanted to join me they could.
I think I would scrap the same way I do now. It depends on the picture. I think not every picture needs a story but just a quick journal entry. Sometimes it calls for more journal than photos. The one thing I would do different is get others thoughts for journaling. It would be great to have different view points than my own. Guess I realized this when at Christmas a couple of years ago I was sick and didn't get a chance to bake cookies. I was so upset that my son went to Subway at 4:00 on Christmas Eve and purchased 2 dozen cookies. It ended up being a hit and every cookie was gone. I would have wrote about the missing cookie baking but when I asked my kids about their Christmas they thought the Subway cookies were a hit and didn't miss the other cookies.

Three things come to mind here (not a list of everything, but more like a pick your poison kind of deal):
1. A casita out back so I had a designated space AWAY from my family and all the chaos...a room that only I had keys to so the kids couldn't ransack it when I was away and so I could enjoy blissful SILENCE while I was in there. 2. A nanny who does light cleaning to come by 2-3 times a week to manage the duties that I'm becoming emotionally overwhelmed with so I can lock myself in my current space and ignore the outside world. 3. Down the line, we plan to fill in the second story of our 2 story living room and create one large open space. This is my vision...one I hope to execute eventually. I'll occupy a little more than half the wall space with 2 work areas and a TON of storage. I'll also have an 8x8 desk (most likely 2 solid core doors on some sort of base that has a lot of storage...maybe something like the under desk Alex drawers with 2 side by side on each end of one side and the mirror on the opposite side...8 total) in the center of the room with a few outlets in the floor. I love to craft but right now I'm locked away from my family and while I do need peace and quiet away from them where I am in life right now, when the time comes where we'll be able to afford this massive project, they'll likely all be in school and I'll want them closer to me during non school hours since I'll get a 5 day a week break from them. This space would also have a section for my husband's office stuff to be and 3 work spaces, 1 for each of my children, to craft, do homework, etc. I'd be able to be creative and still spend time with my family on top of it (as I said, when I'm not in a mental state where I need to see less of them like I am now).

I would have an amazing beach house And a scrapbook assistant, to organise and print my photos and to clean up my scrappy mess!!! This is living the dream! Those are all of my downfalls, so an assistant would be perfect. Past that, my own space that is well-lit, organized, where I can spread out and just create. (Some beautiful views wouldn't go amiss either!)

I would have a larger studio, and on-demand home delivery from the craft store next door.

I'd redo my craft room - maybe move into the larger guest room and have built in furniture or things specifically designed for the space.

I would have a sweet beach bungalow. It would have a bright sea themed scrap space facing the ocean. It would have a table with space for 1 or 2 friends. I would have a comfy sofa chair thing to read or doze. It would also have a space for my DH so he could come with me and have his own space as well.
I would go there as often as possible. I would no longer be working so I would go there during the week or on weekends, or maybe for extended stays like in the summer. Eventually I might even move there and live there full time.
I like to scrap during the day mostly with daylight so I would like to scrap all day or scrap, take a nap and then scrap again.
My bungalow would have to be big enough for all my many albums so I could look at them whenever I want. It would have to have a bedroom for sleeping and maybe a loft for the kids when they come to visit. So basically about 1200 to 1400 sq ft I guess plus the loft area.
I would scrap all of my photos, tell my stories, scrap for others if I had time and inclination, and eventually have all my photos scrapped so that I was only working on current photos and projects.
I would use all my supplies and buy new things as needed. I would want to leave completed albums and a very small stash.

If time and money were no object:
I would take incredible trips with my children multiple times per year. And then scrapbook them in delicious detail. I would have professional photos taken for every birthday, every holiday. I'd have a photographer come with us on our vacations to get the best photos that I could be included in.
As far as scrapbooking, there would never be a moment that I even bothered looking at the price tag. No wondering if I could use a coupon. No hemming and hawwing, and deciding that I can't get it.

If I had the money, I would redo my scraproom- wood counters and paint the cabinets and walls. Somehow bring the cameo/computer down there. I like my area already, just needs a few touch ups. If we had a lot of money to buy more land, I would have a hunting cabin with a little scrap area in that too. I would hope that I wouldn't go nuts spending on supplies- but I can guess that pretty much will happen

I guess that if time and money were no object, I'd hire out to do all my housework, yard work, and projects, so I would have more energy to scrap. Then, I guess I would work on making more memories and taking more photos, more often.
Other than adding more storage, I'm not sure how I would change my scrap space or change my approach. If I had more storage, I would have room to take out my sewing machine. I'd like to actually learn how to use it! I asked DH for an inexpensive machine years ago, and instead he bought me one with all the bells and whistles. It's too complicated. I hate it. I never use it.
I like my cozy craft space. It's in a finished loft area in the attic, and since there are no doors, my kids and DH visit me there and they comment on the old photos. And there's a sink nearby so I can wash out my brushes and clean my stamps. I'd like some more alpha dies, but really I have everything I need already!

If time and money were no object, where and when and how would you scrap? I'd scrap every day in my own scrap room that has tons of storage and work space. I like the idea of one of those sheds turned into a scrap space in my own backyard.
Would you retreat to a beach house somewhere with friends? Stay in your own perfect little--or large--craft room and play away alone? Scrap a little every day? Save it all for one or a couple or a few days per year when you focus only on this craft? Scrap a little every day while the nanny takes care of the kids, the housekeeper makes my house immaculate, and the cook prepares dinner.
Would you stick to the facts, only the facts, Ma'am, or would you tell fantastic detailed stories? Would you use lots of photos, or only a few that really illustrate the tale you want to tell? Stick to the facts. Probably use less than more photos. It depends on the page.
Would you stick to pages about current events in your life? Or delve into the past of yourself and members of your family? both
Would you learn new techniques or rely on the tried and true? Would you purchase pre made elements, or choose to create your own one-of-a-kind treasures? Search for the perfect patterned paper or create your own designs with cs and paints and inks and...? Buy, buy, buy. Scrapping is a hobby for me, something crafty to do. I don't try too hard to be creative.
What would be your dream experience in this craft? I'm not sure....own lots more things? I like to scrap alone. So I don't know about an experience. I'd like to eventually go to the American Crafts warehouse when they open again.

I would hire someone to redo my scraproom and help me learn how to organize the best way for me!! I would take out the carpet, put in wood floor with area rugs and put in a small stove for heat.

I would have a craft/retreat house next to the real house where both would have lake/mountain views. The craft house would have custom designed cabinets and a spot for everything, including other non scrapbooking crafts. It would also have room for extra tables to have at least 12-16 other people come in and craft. I'd have a kitchen, dining area, small seating area, patio downstairs as well. The upstairs would have a couple of bunk rooms and a couple of bedrooms. (I need places for the peas to stay when they come to play.) I'll definitely have a housekeeper, a gardener, and a handyman to free up my time. But I'll also use gigi333's scrapbook assistant idea and carolynhasacat's auto-ship idea. I would, like msliz, work on making more memories and taking more photos. I would scrapbook everyday we were home and not off making memories for at least 2 or 3 hours but would get a full 3 non-interrupted days every month in there to create as well. Awe. Sounds like bliss to me.
