I'm disappointed that Squillen's site seems to be gone for the most part. There are a couple of recipes from 2013, but there is no menu or recipe section at all.
ETA: I take it back, it all came back, and I don't know what I did to get it! ...just ignore me...

I am really intrigued by this Fiori stuff! Is it order-only? Where do you buy yours?

Good timing. I just discovered a cake supply store and they had royal icing mix so I bought it. I've been wanting to make my own as the bakeshops here charge $2 & up/cookie.

Once dough is done I roll some between two pieces of parchment paper and put in the fridge for an hour. Then I am able to cut out shapes without added flour.
my go to is the Cream Cheese recipe: 1 cup butter, softened 3 ounces cream cheese, softened 1 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 large egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
In a large bowl, cream butter, cream cheese, sugar and salt until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour. Refrigerate, covered, 1-2 hours or until firm enough to roll. Preheat oven to 375°. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-in. thickness. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Place 1 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake 7-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on pans 1 minute. Remove to wire racks to cool completely.

We've been making these for years. You must refrigerate them so they will hold their shapes better. Also, sugar on top is a must.
Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies ★★★★★ Cookies and bars, Dessert Prep 30 mins ∙ Cook 7 mins ∙ Makes 40 cookies (Scaled) ∙ Difficulty Easy ∙ Source My Collection INGREDIENTS
3 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 cup butter 1 egg 3 tbsp water 1 tsp vanilla Sugar sprinkles DIRECTIONS
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add egg, water and vanilla and mix well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll out dough, cut into shapes, sprinkle with sugar
Bake at 400° 7-8 minutes until lightly brown.

I found this recipe on Pinterest before christmas, We ended up making it a lot. they were tasty cookies. I am all for anything that is easy to do. Any sugar cookies I have tried in the past either end up hard or tasteless.
1 Box of White Pillsbury cake mix ( you can use other brands) 1 stick of butter at room temp 2 eggs.
Mix it all together and roll out and bake at 350 for 8 to 10 mins. I did refrigerate mine for a bit and I think on a few batches I even added a bit more flour because the dough was really sticky. But they are delicious even un- iced!
