Does anyone know if this version will work with the original Silhouette machine (not the Cameo)? It isn't listed as a compatible machine, so I'm thinking no.

Are you already using some version of the older software with the original Silhouette machine? I had read that the old blue Wishblade worked with the Silhouette software, so I assume that the original Silhouette would. You could at least email customer service and ask them.

I've been using Version 3 with no problems. I was just wondering if I should update to V.4, but I'm hearing that it has some serious issues. I think I'll wait and use what I have. I use my Cricut Explore Air most of the time anyway. Thanks.

I was just wondering if I should update to V.4, but I'm hearing that it has some serious issues. V4 is actually pretty problem free. They have extensively BETA tested it and I have not really heard of any issues, other than user issues. Things are moved around a bit, so the main issue people have is not being able to find a tool. It is all there, and if you stop and think for second, it is pretty easy to find things. Just takes this old fart a few seconds to process it the first time around! LOL Tony from Silhouette said that they will be releasing the first update to V4 right before Memorial Day. He also said they are going to change some of the programming in it a bit so that the use of the knife and eraser tools will not bog down the program as it has in the past. It is and will continue to load much faster too. I have been a Silhouette Studio user since 2011. There have been some updates that were real stinkers. This on is not. There is some adjustment, since the interface is different - but the software is solid. The Cloud library, which I GREATLY resisted is solid. I have no complaints - and I like to complain.
