AliExpress and eBay. There are some REALLY awesome ones for around 75 cents on eBay right now (they are more than double from AliExpress for the same ones). I LOVE enamel dots and have hundreds of packages, but like you, I felt they were too expensive for what you got. I didn't buy any for months as much as I wanted to...then CKC came to town (the only year it ever came here) and there was a clearance shop that had $1 packs of enamel dots and I bought a ton. They were from the same few MME lines and I got 3-5 of most packages. I'll pay upwards of $2 for them, but I try and stock up from AliExpress and eBay these days. I used the last round of eBay ones on a project the day that I received them...they are glorious and just as good (maybe better since they are far less money) than the ones in name brand packaging. 18 packs for $13.52 and a 2 week wait is totally doable for me. Thanks for this! I ordered a bunch! scrapaddict702 when you ordered from eBay which carrier delivered them?

I love the ones I got from Aliexpress. It's not fast shipping, but it's cheap, and they are good quality.
I have a bunch from Joann's from a few years ago called raindrops or something. They were cheap and actually fairly shallow, so they don't stick up too much on cards or in my journal. And they come in some larger sizes than typical penny candy-sized enamel dots.
I made a ton with perler beads a few years ago when that was the big thing, but I don't use them much on paper projects because they stick up a lot (also the fumes made me ill - but I'm sensitive to that stuff, like I can't use Gamsol either, so YMMV). If you go this route, shop around - they make some really cool gold/silver metallic beads.

I make my own by melting perler beads or pony beads depending on the size you like. There are several videos on YouTube for making your own. I have thousands of them that I made for pretty cheap using a HL coupon to buy the beads. I have them in 3 sizes. Perler beads come in two sizes...I haven't tried the jumbo ones, and the pony beads come in two sizes that I have seen. Off to look at YouTube... OP, I have a big jar. I'd love to share some with you. PM your address and I'll get them in the mail.

So I have never used enamel dots, and of course you all made me want to go out and buy every color, but DO they tend to pop off your pages? It seems to me with them being so flat, that maybe the smaller ones would?

It's hard to justify the cost for such tiny little things, but they do go far and I don't usually use very many on a layout, so I find that they don't run out very quickly. I do wish I could find them at Hobby Lobby or Michaels with all one color on a sheet. I always run out of red first.

Considering I feel like I have an infinite supply, that is saying a lot...they are just really hard to find colors!

I like the nail polish idea. I've used a paint marker to re-color brads, but nail polish is shinier

Random question, but if you happen to be able to take pictures of Echo Park's set up, I'd love to see it. I'm curious what products they have out. I missed out on several things because I wasn't there the first day. I'm really curious if they have fall stuff and the first Disney themed line. I'm hoping to be able to go to shop again in November (sooner if I decide to shop the Mesa one instead) but don't know what kind of product they have out the first day that I didn't see at all the day I went. Next time EP does a warehouse sale (they don't give enough notice) I'm going to try and go to that, too. It's been a while, I think they're due for one.

Last year they had most of their older kits out for I think 4 for $20. I think I bought about 12 kits. Wish I bought all of them. If you give me the name of what you want I will look for it and if I see it I will grab it for you if you want.

Nothing specific, I am just curious how big of a difference being early is so I know for when I go...embellishments were almost gone when I was there, it was mostly collection packs and 6x6s plus a few sets of enamel dots and dies. It will probably be a same day drive when I go. I think the me time will be fun...if there is a huge difference then I will go the first day...if not, then I can wait until Saturday (easier to do with scheduling). Thank you!

So I have never used enamel dots, and of course you all made me want to go out and buy every color, but DO they tend to pop off your pages? It seems to me with them being so flat, that maybe the smaller ones would? I put them on greeting cards and send them through the mail and to my knowledge none have popped off, even though the adhesive isn't super sticky. Actually that's a plus for me - I tend to put them down and them immediately want to move them. I can get my fingernail under the edge and shift them or pop them off and put them in a different spot, sometimes several times. But it's not easy, and I've never had one refuse to stick again after being moved.

I buy mine from Ebay. Dollar Tree has them occasionally. If you like doing nail art or decoden you can buy the candy dot molds on Ebay for a $1 or $2. You can use your acrylic powders, liquid and lamp to make your own dots. I am so tired everyone forgive me if that is a bit gibberish. I hope the nail art/decoden girls know what I am talking about. Here's a tutorial for nail art- www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBLDcJ9L4qQ No lamp needed.

It seems to me with them being so flat, that maybe the smaller ones would?I've only had off-brands pop off my layouts. Or if the paper has texture, foiling, or glitter. My solution is to always use a tiny drop of liquid glue just to guarantee they stay where they should.

Can someone post an example of using enamel dots on a finished project? I don't have a clue how to use them. I've used enamel dots before.
