I just got my Kitchenaid mixer from my mom for Christmas this year. We need a new ice cream maker, so I was looking at the attachment. It has mixed reviews, so I was wondering what the Peas think.

We have one. I've used it a couple of times. It made good ice cream. Just enough for us.

I like mine. I never had a different ice cream maker so I can't make a comparison.

I used to have one, and it worked pretty well. It seemed to warm up a bit too quickly, but it was fine. You just had to freeze the ice cream for a little while in the freezer afterwards (more than with other ice cream makers).

We have one but it took up a lot of space in the freezer... and now I ever think ahead to freeze it when I want to use it.

I have one and love it. I've got plenty of freezer space so it just stays in the freezer all the time except when I'm using it! Knowing which way to set it up can be a little confusing just because you flip the bit that goes where your beater would usually go one way or the other depending on if you have a lift versus tilt mixer. I test fit each time because I never remember which way it goes. LOL Then I add my mixture to the bowl and away we go!
