I'm editing photo of DD at a concert, in low light, and in one of them the colors are so off that the only way I can salvage the photo is to change it to black and white. It will be on the same page as 3 other photos that will all be in color.
I don't mind combining them on the same layout - I've done it before. But I was curious as to whether anyone else has done it. And do you like how your pages turned out?

Abosolutely! In fact once upon a time I had a photo published in an idea book where I made the photo black and white and made my son in color, and another one I cut the photo into strips and alternated back and white with color on the same photo.
I wouldn't give it a second thought, really.

YES! Several times. I think it can be a great way to create your focal point. And black and white is a great way to hide the clutter in the background while remodeling a house, I just extract the kids in color.

No but now I'm liking the idea a lot!

Yes! I like the contrast, sometimes, and it also helps if you want to bring attention a special photo(The one in color).
I don't like color selection in one photo, but I do like 1 b&w and 1 full color pic.

Yes, I've done this on occasion. It doesn't bother me at all and quite often can be effective for focusing your attention on certain photos on the layout.
