Holy cow. It's June. JUNE!!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaaa??? Welcome to monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post both a sketch, and a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. I'll be including something for both 1 page scrappers, as well as 2 page scrappers, and some of the LO's can be modified to fit either one. I like seeing the creativity of changing them up! I think it will be fun to see what you pick, or if you decide to do both! Here we go! layout by Michelle Houghton | GetItScrapped.com/blog As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild! These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! admin , please add to the master list. Thank you!

Thanks, KikiPea! Those are wonderful jumping off points! I can see using both of those more than once! Haven't scrapped much since my crazy iNSD weekend, and won't be doing any this weekend, but hope to come home with tons of grad photos, so I am sure I will be doing a fair bit of page making once I get home. These ideas will be a perfect place to start!

I gave the 2 pager a try. Plan to try the other one, too.

Love that you're including a double and a single and a layout and a sketch each month now. Hope to get to play a bit with these. I thought it would help get more to play. I like having both options, as I scrap both, and you can turn the 1 pager into 2, or just use 1 side of the 2 pager. I also like having one of each style. Lots of options, and fun ideas to get the creative juices flowing! 😁 Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I gave the 2 pager a try. Plan to try the other one, too. I love this! Great photos. You were able to get so many on an 8.5x11! Impressive! I like them overlapped, and the bold pop of untraditional winter colors.

@elaynef I adore your layout! The way you matted the photos made them really pop. What fun, happy photos.
As to the spelling, it happens! I get so mad when I read my journaling and realize I omitted or misspelled a word. Aargh!

@elaynef, Adorable. I love the double matting at some of the photos but not all; that yellow white squiggle line under some of the photos with the heart at the end. Is the squiggle line a washi? And those photos are amazing!
As for the misspelling, it happens to me too. I totally wouldn't have noticed it until you pointed it out though as I was so enamored with the rest of the page.

That's cool, KikiPea! I love the series of pic's. I printed off the two pager, and have my photos laid out, but still need to find the right papers and the time to put it together,

That is so cute, grammadee. I love the use of circles with a bicycle page. It's a great way to reinforce the theme, without using an actual bicycle element. Cute!

This is awesome! Love the matted/unmatted, and the circles. Really gives the LO movement.

Impressed with the circles. I couldn't figure out how to do them. How did you?

Thanks, @elaynef. Tried to quote you for this response, but my computer mouse does not seem to be talking to this board, so I couldn't get my curser in the right place. Weird.
I have a set of nesting dies. So when I want open circles like this, I just place them one inside the other on the pp or cs, and run the whole set through the Vagabond at once. (Any roll through system will work, like Big Shot or Cuttlebug) Each smaller one cuts out the centre of the one just bigger. For these two pages, I actually cut the circles twice so I would have enough of the ones in the sizes I wanted. I now have some extra orange circles for something else.

grammadee, great double page. I really like the navy and orange and the continuity between the pages! mikklynn, lovely page. I like the colors, the scrabble tile 'happy', & the enamel hearts.

Another version of the sketch! I'll try to do one a little closer to the actual sketch, but this was fun, and simple.

KikiPea That is lovely! It's just enough embellishment to not overwhelm the photos.

Here is my take on the single page sketch. I will pair this with a page pretty much saturated with photos of the boys playing together with a few circles, arrows, and stars to link the pages together. The world is your Playground by Gramma Dee, on Flickr
