Has anyone else had this when they import images? I had to install the software (Designer Basic) from scratch on a new laptop and it is over every single one of the files I imported regardless of the file type (.png, .pdf or .svg). I searched their site and googled it and haven't found this mentioned anywhere else. For now, I mostly know what they are, but it covers about the top 2/3rds of the image in the library view, so I ultimately want it to go away. I completely restored my images that I had purchased from Silhouette so it doesn't affect those.
Thought I'd ask here before I contact their support. I probably will contact them regardless, since I previously had the Designer edition and I only see the option to get Basic.
Thanks!

@shells004 I thought I'd seen something about this glitch on a post somewhere, but now I can't find it. Strange that your Designer Edition didn't carry across but if you choose help/activate license key you should be able to input it again. It's listed under your Silhouette account if you need to look it up.

Thanks anniefb for the info on the designer edition! I figured I could contact them, I just thought it was strange that I couldn't find anything about this when I've googled a couple of times. They open just fine otherwise.

I'm not sure what you need to do with the Designer Edition issue. Not sure if it's per computer, like so many programs, or per person.
But as for the black box, it is a known glitch in V4 and they are working on fixing it, per Melissa from Silhouette School. Sorry, that's all the info I have b

mom you'll need to enter the licence key again which should be under the Help menu option - Upgrade Silhouette Studio. Enter your Silhouette account email and password and the key should be recognised immediately.

I kept looking for it in my account page and not on the help page. Thank you! SaveSave
