when I installed and saw what the design page was different I figured it was just going to take a a few days to get used to it. Well after clicking Send I found another new world! Also if you do a P& C you don't have to add the cut settings as they put them there already! so now I think it is going to take more then a few days. It is nice having the on-site tutorials. Have any of you used the new software?

Just downloaded v4 to play around and see if I like it and so far so good. Cut something yesterday and it went fine although the 'send' process seemed a bit involved. Thanks to JaneB I knew how to enlarge the icons and use the floating panels and I think I'm going to really like it! There are some new features coming in v4.1 that look great.

I agree but it will take me a little more then what I thought before. I have been using a Silhouette since I started scrapping and I love it. Te funny thing I was looking everywhere to put cut lines on my P& C and never found them until after hitting send!

I agree that things are more "buried" than they were before. I used to fly around the software but now it seems like I'm constantly looking for where a tool is. I think I spent 20 minutes last week looking for the line cut settings. I have to admit that after using it quite a lot this past weekend, it's finally getting a little easier for me, but I have heard that improvements will be coming-especially to the SEND options. Some of the other things they are working on sound really great too so hang in there and keep plugging away. I wanted to pack it in too but I'm sticking with it and it is getting better.

Have you noticed how lots of tool options appear as items are selected? For example, select all your shapes and Group is up there along the top, similarly Weld, Alignment options, and of course colour for fill and line. I was so busy watching panels I didn't notice that some of the commands were there already and didn't need me to open a panel.
Overall I think the workflow is better, certainly a few less mouse clicks to get what I want.

I'm definitely going to have a learning curve. I use to know where to click instinctively. I printed several things yesterday I can't decide if it was a search and rescue or a search and destroy mission. Definitely need to spend some more time working in it.
