So...has anyone gotten the WeR Stitch Happy?
I had one on pre-order, and they're starting to ship. My paper machine is 25 years old and a bit fussy, so it's time to get a new one. I have to commit if I want it, and I'm still undecided. I've watched YT reviews, but a lot of them are from people that received them free and didn't know how to use them, so I still don't feel convinced. If you have one, do you like it?
And they sell a separate foot pedal. My understanding is that the one that comes with it has only one speed, but the extra foot pedal they sell is variable speed. Is that really case and did you feel like you needed the extra pedal? Does your stitching come out very regular and even? Are there any things you're unhappy with?
Tyty!

No review to give you but rather technical talk. There was an informative discussion on here about it. The seamstresses of the board advised against purchasing it. You can read it here. Hope this helps you make up your mind!

Hope this helps you make up your mind! Thank you so much. I did a search before asking, and that didn't show up somehow. That was way more helpful than all the unboxings/comped machines where people were clueless about how to use anything other than their box-cutter!

I'd forgotten about that thread as well even though I posted on it! Hope the machine works ok moraie. Let us know how you get on. I just use my regular Bernette machine for paper and am intrigued to try the upside down technique with the thick thread in the bobbin as an alternative to hand stitching,

I got a discount if I pre-ordered, but didn't have to prepay, so I could still cancel. My paper machine was a $75 refurb 25 years ago, and it's held up well enough. It's finicky and a bit of a pain, but it's still trucking alone, and I'm not in a rush. If people are raving about the WeR in 6 months, I'll get one then. Plus...I've SO overspent on stamps this month it's really hard to justify it!
