Do you turn on your car lights during the day?

I do. I'm not sure when or why I developed a habit of it, but I turn my lights on every time I drive without fail.

Ditto this^^^  Mine are also automatic.  They have the daytime running lights and then when it starts getting dark, the regular headlights/taillights automatically come on. I can switch them so that I can control it but I don't see the point. 

My running lights are automatic. I put my headlights on at dusk or in poor weather.

All vehicles here have daytime running lights. My van doesn't have an automatic setting, so I have to turn them on myself after dark.

Always! It helps other drivers to see you easier.

Same. I always have the running lights on, but turn on my headlights if it is raining or getting dark. DH's car is fully automatic and he always forgets to turn on the lights when he drives my car. I have to remind him. 

The lights in my car are set to automatic. I never even think about them. My First World problem is on the rare times I have to trade cars with DH and he has his lights set to manual. I have to constantly remind myself to turn them on in the rain, and at night, I'm terrified I'm going to forget to turn them off.

Mine are not automatic, but if I'm in the car, I turn them on.

I bought a new car this year and was surprised it doesn't have automatic daytime running lights. I see a lot of cars that have them. If it's cloudy and dusk I turn them on. Dh hates those lights. When I turn them on when it's cloudy or when the sun starts going down and dh is in the car he always asks me why I turned them on. Don't know what his problem is with it.

When I had automatic lights, they were always on. Now I don't have them, so I just turn them on when needed.

Mine are automatic as well. Don't get me started on motorists that don't seem to know our law (lights on when it is raining and snowing), and drive gray or other dark cars. (Hellooo! We can't see you at all!)

Come on automatic on my Corolla. Actually the only cars I see with out light on are cars that are pretty old.

As a child I can remember that New England was ahead of the game of my home state in this regard. They used to have signs on the highways that said "Lights on for Safety".

Having your lights on can help you be seen in various different situations, even during the day. I think by having them come on automatically or being in the habit of always turning them on is a good idea because I think it cuts down on instances when conditions change and people don't think to turn their lights on if they were not already on.

Things like a foggy patch, sudden rain, approaching dusk, construction areas, etc. These are all situations in which your lights may not help you see any better, but they help others to see you, which is obviously extremely important.
