My mojo is just shot.
I have too much on my mind, too many things I have to do, too much riding on my shoulders, and I can't get a decent layout done.
Anyone else lost their mojo?

I'm sorry - I've been struggling this week also -a combination of too much on my plate and being in pain (more so than usual)

Hard to say. Some days the energy and ideas flow, and turning ideas into projects seems easy. I wake up energized and everything falls into place. Other times, not so much. Inertia is part of it. The more I scrap, the easier it is. Much harder starting up after a break. I need positivity. Can't focus on scrapping when I am worried about something else. And I feel other people's anxiety, so if I am not alone in the house, the other occupants need to be happy. Or at least calm. More and more, I need my sleep. Can't create when I am tired. Or, like linda, when I am in pain. I can hack a couple of interruptions when I am on a roll, but more than that and Mojo flies the coop.

Yup, all of this, especially the bolded part, plus just having too much to do. I'm sorry you have so much riding on your shoulders LavenderLayoutLady. That must be extremely tough especially now it's summer break.

I have no mojo either for 3 reasons right now.
One, the 100 day project. I've been making a card a day for the better part of the past 78 days. I am tired of making cards and I am out of ideas but feel like it's too close to give up (even though I am a week behind right now).
Two, my storage situation. I use 2 ikea dressers for storage and a drawer collapsed in each of them. The first one wasn't a big deal but the one that collapsed last week is pretty bad. I can't stand looking at it and don't want to spend the time replacing them. I think I came up with a solution this morning and will talk to DH about getting out to ikea this weekend so I can get this resolved.
Three, it's too hot. My scraproom has no a/c and it's been really hot and humid the past week or so.

I love starting projects. Finishing? Not so much! My page-a-day goal for 2017 only works because on good days I can finish several pages, so there is no pressure to create on the blah days.

A messy desk can kill my mojo faster than anything else. If I have a lot of things to put away, or if my desk is messy, I can't create. I try to put things back as I go along, but since I went to a big expo in MA a few weeks ago, I can't seem to get everything put away. I'm doing it in stages, and that helps.

I've been struggling this week also -a combination of too much on my plate and being in pain (more so than usual) (((Hugs))) I hope you feel less pain soon, and life eases up on ya. I need positivity. Can't focus on scrapping when I am worried about something else. Yes, this. This has been one of those years that have just been overwhelming. One of those years that I'm just happy when nothing bad happens. And the sound of a phone ringing gives me anxiety because I'm expecting it to be bad news. I have no mojo either for 3 reasons right now. One, the 100 day project. I've been making a card a day for the better part of the past 78 days. I am tired of making cards and I am out of ideas but feel like it's too close to give up (even though I am a week behind right now). That's amazing! Would it be cheating to copy one of your previous designs? Sometimes when i run out of ideas, I turn the sketch or design upside down, or just use the mirror copy to make it a "new" sketch. Two, my storage situation. I use 2 ikea dressers for storage and a drawer collapsed in each of them. Oh no. What a bummer. That would upset me as well. I hope you have luck fixing it. Three, it's too hot. My scraproom has no a/c and it's been really hot and humid the past week or so. Ugh. Heat knocks me down too.

I lose my mojo when I have too many photos from a single event, like Christmas. I am trying very hard to limit myself. I even through away photos this week (gasp!).

I hear you! I have gone through some major changes in my life (divorce, etc.) and it definitely affected my mojo (plus,it's hard to scrap family event photos that include not-so-D-exH). I have done more mini projects, including cards, that haven't required a long attention span, because I've found it hard to focus. I've also re-organize my supplies (which always makes me happy!) This past weekend, I put some layouts into albums and that has left me feeling more inspired than I have in a long time - I realize that I have made some pretty terrific layouts and I'm going to scraplift off myself!
My advice is to cut yourself a break, be kind to yourself. While we are preserving memories, this is also supposed to be fun.

Being worried or anxious about something is certainly the worst mojo killer for me. Also, being busy, tired, or a messy desk. Today it's a messy desk. I have to remind myself that it won't take that long to clean up and then I can get started on something fun.

Real life definitely takes a toll on my crafty mojo. It's tough when I'm really busy and also when I'm depressed. Hang in there. Do relaxing things if you can. Scrapbooking will be there when you're ready to return to it.

Stress and when there is allot of events and what not going on. Birthdays, vacations, holidays, out of town guests, to name a few. And summer always seems to be filled with them! I haven't scrapped since early May, and don't see it happening till probably the end of July. But I'm ok with it cause one of the big things happening that's keeping me from scrapping is my Son comes home today on leave from the Air Force! His 1st visit home since he left 7 months ago. His birthday was just a few days ago so I have a big bday party planned for him this coming weekend. So no scrapping happening, but plenty of memories and photo ops being made!!

A messy scrappin' room. I helped three different friends create graduation stuff (decors, signs, etc.) for their kid's graduation parties... and my oasis is totaled.
I'm hoping to get it cleaned up this weekend and then I'll be back to it!

Migraines kill my mojo faster than anything. Unfortunately, I'm back in a bad cycle of 5-6 a week. It's slowed me down considerably over the past two months. I'm really hoping something breaks so I can get back to being creative. Like others have said (and I assume more common than my reason above) are being worried. Going in my scrapbook room with my supplies and just looking through certain papers will often spark something that will let me be creative and help with my worry. I think, like mikklynn said, too many photos freezes me up. I have next to no birthday layouts of my daughter who will be nine in August. I end up with so many pictures that it's unreal and such a chore to sort through them. Christmas is the same way. I just had a thought though. I wonder if telling my husband to look through them and pick his top five photos would help. Then, I could just use those five photos (or fewer if I desire) to limit my options. I may try that, especially since my birthday is this Thursday and I've never scrapbooked a birthday of mine save my third birthday pictures from 1981. I had just a few photos though which made it easier.

Sometimes I'm too tired to get all my stuff out to scrap. Also I like to keep my house neat and organized and, lets face it, scrapbooking is messy. I scrap in the living room in front of the TV so I have to set up my folding table and haul out the things I want to use. Fortunately my supplies are almost all in plastic containers so at least it cuts down a bit in the clutter.

I end up with so many pictures that it's unreal and such a chore to sort through them. Christmas is the same way. I just had a thought though. I wonder if telling my husband to look through them and pick his top five photos would help. I actually think this is a great idea. Often when I'm looking through vacation photos and feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number from a particular location I'll take the approach of pulling out just a few that stand out to me from the thumbnails. Sometimes I'll find I have to go back to the folder to find another photo or two to help better tell my story but from just the thumbnails I find it easier to see the most compelling images.

For me it's stress, and my severe anxiety and depression. If I have things bothering me, I can't put together a LO, nothing seems to go right and I feel even worse. When the mojo is going though, it really helps with my anxiety and depression. Sometimes I feel like I can't win. I also struggle when my scrap counter is really messy, but I can usually tidy that up pretty quickly before and in between layouts. so that's a quick fix. I really hope we can all have some relaxation, peace and quiet and flowing mojo soon!!!! I scrap alone so I feel a lot better when I have my 2peas scrapping buddies scrapping along with me <3 !!

To all of the RefuPeas whose mojo is giving them issues, I hope you can relax and make memories now so that when it returns you have lots to scrap. Linda, hope your pain subsides quickly. teacherlisa, I would get absolutely nothing done if I had to have my house clean. I hope your family isn't slobs like mine and pick up after themselves. mikklynn, I struggle to start those larger event type layouts as well. I have a walk through an ice sculpture event and another through a garden with sculptures printed and waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I've decided all future large events will be done digitally like I do Christmas. I finished a vacation, a town fest, and an outing with hayride, pumpkin patch, etc in March all digitally. Those printed layouts, yeah, there still in there little bags with the papers. I purposefully put them to one side and look past them, and I'll print more photos before I get to the end of my page kits and kit them. SO unless, I specifically make a plan to do those pages, I don't see them getting completed any time soon. A sickness can kill my mojo. There is usually a day or two that are worse than the others, and you can't do any cleaning/house chore, sometimes all you can do is sit or stay in bed. I cannot for the life of me create pages on those days, even digitally with the laptop is a huge struggle. I'm always thinking that it's such a waste of time, I have an excuse to get out of chores, the kids and dh won't disturb me because they know I'm sick, and then I can't enjoy what I would want to do. stinky sicknesses.

I like your idea of having your DH pick the top photos, when you have too many. The other solution I use occasionally is to do a 2 page layout with my favorites, then put a pocket page in between with 12 more photos.

Thinking about others looking at my layouts. It triggers my perfectionism and because perfect isn't possible I do nothing.
