I started collecting scrapbook supplies heavily in college. Did my first 2 peas order in 2003. I haven't scrapped in forever. I have been a member at Studio Calico since 2013. So I have tons, and tons, and tons of stuff. We are facing an overseas move with limited space to bring stuff. I have tons of old Basic grey, chatterbox, bazzil, and lots of other brands. Almost all the Project life kits that came out and every stamp and supply out there. I am looking for the most effective way to sell it off and would love suggestions. Facebook destash groups, personal stories of selling off...anything!
Thanks!

I don't really have any advice other than I'd be interested in seeing what Basic Grey you'd like to be rid of.

I only have success if I price stuff cheap. I was at a scrappy sale this past weekend ppl trying to peddle utter shit that was literally decades old and for exorbitant prices.
I see this all the time too on fb selling groups as well.

Facebook destash groups, personal stories of selling off...anything! Thanks! I've had decent success selling lots of things on eBay. a few years ago (2013) we moved overseas for 2-1/2 years. So I totally understand! I have a much smaller scrapbook space now (I miss the old one it was gorgeous!), but I'm slowly rebuilding and trying to not overbuy. Anyway, I sold things on eBay in lots of like things. I put 6-8 packs of flowers together, 2-3 stencils etc. I also didn't include any consumable items that were used (like stickers). I sold those at a yard sale for .50-.25/each. I did better on eBay when I started an auction at a very low price (9.99 for 6 packs of prima flowers, 3.99 for paper collection packs etc. The bids would start coming early and the price would generally rise. You might try selling some stuff here too in the FSOT boards. Check, I might be your best customer. Good luck! I hope the move goes smoothly!

Ebay or the FSOT board here - I would bundle by collection or manufacturer or type (prima flowers, enamal dots)
If you're in an area with lots of scrapbookers - you could try Craigslist or a FB local buy/sell/trade page but I think success rate is going to heavily depend on whether people on the page scrapbook

If you live in a larger metro area you might have success holding a scrapbooking garage sale. I know someone who recently held one and it went really well. You gotta advertise the heck out of it though.

I sell scrapbook stuff really easily on Kijiji. I list large groups of stuff together, like all paper, or a box of embellishments and chipboard, or just Stampin' Up! stuff. I don't list it as too cheap -I've found when I've asked higher prices I get solid buyers who show up to meet (always in parking lots) and pay full asking or just a slight discount. Last week I sold a box of ribbon for $40 and a box of embellishments for $50. Last summer I sold 2 Iris containers full of 12x12 paper for $100.
FYI this is in Canadian dollars.

I'd try the FSOT board here first to save the ebay fees.

The biggest problem with selling and shipping is the high cost of postage. A flat rate box that will hold paper starts at about $13. You have to keep that in mind when you price things.

Craigslist is still popular in my area and I have bought Stampin Up from postings on it.
I sell my leftovers at tag sales.
I've always got my eyes open for bargain priced Stampin Up and CTMH stamps, and anything October Afternoon.
You can post on the FSOT board.

I'm always looking for Stampin' UP! products!
As far as "de-stashing", I'm sending off old paper (cheap Michaels paper pads) and a some older crafting items to a garage sale being held in an area that the nearest Michaels, Joanne's and Hobby Lobby are an hour away. It sells pretty well, probably mostly because of the scarcity of shopping options.

Ebay is generally successful for me with buy it now although I recommend checking same items that have sold before you list. For me, if they are selling for $5 or less I won't bother since I have limited time and it just isn't worth it. Craigslist can be good in my area, especially for lots of mixed items. Also there are a couple of good FB groups to check out - The Scrap Yard 1.0 and Retired Stampin Up Products For Sale
Good luck!

I recently had a garage sale and did pretty well. I made about $600 which is great, but only sold about 1/3 of what I had. Lots went to the thrift store but I kept thing easier to sell online (stamps, dies, etc). Not sure what I'll do with the rest.

I don't really have any advice other than I'd be interested in seeing what Basic Grey you'd like to be rid of. If you have Wisteria, I'd be interested! The Studio Calico stuff might go on Etsy or one of the Project Life selling groups. I see SC a lot in both places.

I used to be able to sell scrappy stuff on Craig's list fairly quickly. Now it just sits there. Not even a lets make a deal response. I don't know where the buyers have all gone. I've entertained the idea of trying out those apps or my local garage sale FB groups.

I might be interested in Chatterbox - I loved their papers (never mind that I'm supposed to be frozen)
