Got an email from SS today, asking me to fill in a short survey about planners. The last question was whether I scrapbook.
Hoping that they follow up with questions about what themes I scrapbook, or maybe something about preferences?
Would be nice if the supply companies looked for input from their followers. We may not all agree, but at least we would have some chance of getting the designs and colours we crave.

I received that email, too! I use Simple Stories a lot so I appreciated the chance to voice my opinion.

I wholeheartedly agree with you! In the last few releases I have been missing the "old" Simple Stories. I have found some of the recent releases to be way too specifically themed to be useful for me. I miss some of the more generic lines. That said, I took a look at their website recently and the new "Beautiful" collection is lovely. Quite a departure from their usual look, and perhaps a bit "samey" to other designers, but I can think of lots of photos I would use with it.

I took the survey. One question was how many planners do you own. I selected the "0" option since I do not own a planner. The next question asked what type of planner. I did not make a selection since there was no option for not owning a planner. But, it's a required question and I couldn't submit without a selection, LOL. Flawed survey. So I just selected TN.

The survey doesn't seem to provide anything useful. 4 questions. No feedback asked. If you can't select 'I don't plan' then their results will be skewed. They are making a false assumption that everyone does and missing the opportunity to identify the part of their market who identifies as a scrapper, not a planner which you would think is a hefty part of they customer base.

I used to snap up every piece of SS. I saw the recent sports and dad collections and I did not buy them. Frankly I don't need sports and the dad one I just wasn't feeling it.
I do not use planners. I guess they want to jump on that fad as well. And if you have always journalled, well then it isn't a fad for you.

Another manufacturer trying to hitch their wagon to the planner 'phenomenon'? No thanks. Not that I'm a huge SS fan anyway.

It just seems to keep growing and nothing innovative (since their new bradz which I like, even if they are too expensive for what they are) comes to the scrappy side these days.
