Yes, I like the way i look with a tan. Got a spray tan last week before going to beach. Overall I liked it aside from blotchy feet. But now 6 days later, even after following their recommendations, I look like I have a skin issue...so spotty So...aside from getting another spray, what is a good self tanner, prefer foaming, that goes on well?? I am checking to see if any rodan and fields reps locally have their tanner available for purchase. Anyone use it? Going to beach again this weekend. Thanks!!

Attachment DeletedI use this this and love it. Make sure you use the mitt and shower the next morning because showering helps "set" it. You can get it online, Ulta and I believe maybe Sephora.

I use St Tropez. I have two different ones - the Self Tan Classic and the Gradual Tan Everyday. I prefer the Gradual Tan one a little more. The color is more natural, but the Self Tan Classic has quicker results. Neither streaks though and the smell is not bad, especially compared to other brands.

I am using this one right now Self tanning mousse and really like it. It's inexpensive and fast. Definitely get a mitt and make sure you prep your skin. I actually am getting a sprayer and solution next week so I can do my own spray tans.

did you exfoliate well before the tan? if not, no tan is going to fade evenly on you. you need to be freshly exfoliated for the best results, and put lotion on your feet and hands or anywhere you have thick skin that could absorb more.

I did the night before which is what they said. They didn't advise lotion on hands or feet, said not to use any. Will know for next time!

I like the St Tropaz or Fake Bake...both with the mitt. But, I also really like Jergins gradual tanner. It takes about two days for me to see color (I use their fair to medium). Then I reapply it every other day to maintain.

My lady uses a little foam roller (like one that you would use to paint with) and blends in around ankles, knees, etc. Avoid using deodorant and wear loose clothing to/from the salon.

Bondi Sands is hands down the best fake tanner I've used. My daughter is an expert LOL and she has tried them all. BS (I think it is sold overseas) has a really nice gradual tanning mousse that is really foolproof. They also have a tan remover which is amazing - perfect for that blotchiness that you are experiencing now. I used to get sprays but I was never happy with how spotty they can be. I'm much happier doing it at home with a tanning mit and don't have that issue.
I also make sure I use moisturiser on my palms, around my ankles, elbows and knees to avoid any catching on drier areas.

Thanks all. I just spent time in the shower with baby oil and Epsom salt trying to scrub off the bad patches and will get something tomorrow to even it out before the beach this weekend!
