I just can't stand it and never have. Now some of it is isn't too bad, but a lot of it is just horrid. So intrusive, showing people at their worst, scheming, cheating etc. I can't stand it. But my husband gets sucked into some of the shows at times and I just cringe the whole time he's watching them. And I swear they are the trashiest ones. Like Moonshiners, or Amish Mafia. Gah. And I tell him they are mostly fake and he says sure, but it can't be all fake. Um..ok. So these people are breaking the law by making Moonshine and on tv, but yet don't get busted? Seriously? Now that said, I will admit to a fondness for Chrisley Knows Best.

Yes, it is awful. I have a friend who pretty much only watches reality tv and thinks it is mostly real. I much prefer comedies.

I used to hate it. But a few years ago I got sucked in to the Housewives. *hanging head in shame* I think it's kind of just a mindless entertainment that doesn't require thought. I can put it in and do other things and not care if I miss a chunk. I don't watch any of the "competition" reality shows like Big Brother or the Bachelor/ette. I do like Chrisley too 😉.

I used to like Amazing Race, but haven't watched even that in years. I really don't see the appeal.

It's terrible and the lowest form of entertainment. That being said, I watch Project Runway, RHONY, RHOBH, Million Dollar Listing NY and LA, Southern Charm & Southern Charm Savannah, Below Deck & Below Deck-Med, and Flipping Out.

I do watch a few, but those Housewives, Kardashians, what else? Really trashy ones.. The only reality ones I like are: Survivor Amazing Race Chrisley Outdaughtered Counting On (I know, I know.. I invested to much in the early years.. so I haven't ditched them..) Little Couple (which is coming back YEAH) I LOVE LOVE THEM I feel like I am watching the 'best' of the reality shows.. bwaaahaahaa

I can stand the way they shout at each other on most of those shows. Vicky and Tamara on Real Housewives are the worse. But no I don't watch them.

I used to like Amazing Race, but haven't watched even that in years. I really don't see the appeal. Oh I see the appeal.. I want to go do a lot of those adventures all over the world.. I LOVE AR.. BUT I couldn't really deal with the food part of it.. I am way to picky and DH is scared of heights, so yeah he would refuse to do anything that is height related and I wouldn't eat some of that food. But otherwise I think it would be awesome to go on the show... (plus I would have to get in shape.. bwaaahaaha)

It's complete trash and I enjoy watching it. It's not real, of course, but it's entertaining.

I loved the premise of Amazing Race for the same reason you mentioned - getting to see different parts of the world - then it became more "reality tv" like where they cast more obnoxious people and had to set up ridiculous scenarios like blind dates etc. That's why I stopped watching - I liked seeing the destinations and even enjoyed the challenges. I just have zero interest in watching people behaving badly which is what makes up 99% of reality tv - it's just not entertaining for me.

There is no real plot, nothing good is coming out of it, it's just watching people act stupidly. But I also am not a competitive person and am very private so most reality tv shows set me on edge for those reasons too. Now, I admit I don't watch a lot of really serious stuff either these days for the most part. I just got done watching the Brady Bunch (the one where Mike and Carol get married and Tiger and Fluffy wreak havoc). That's about the level of seriousness I want to watch most of the time. I need that to keep my anxiety under control with what's going on the world these days. .

i love survivor, still, after all these years.
as for the other stuff, i hate the way its edited.... they show you some clip from an upcoming show that is gonna be all shocking and then when the show airs, that is not at all what happened.
for example, on 90 day fiance, they show a preview of the one woman calling her sister to say "devar got his green card and left me, cleared out the money and is gone". then you watch the episode and they are (supposedly) very much together but the call is to pull a prank on the sister who was (supposedly) suspicious that he was using her all along.

I've never watched any reality TV. The snippets I've seen look completely ridiculous. Zero interest, AND I think it's destroying the fiber of our society. (You kids get off my lawn!)
Okay seriously, I do think reality TV is why we're stuck with Donald Trump now.

We like different sorts of reality tv. Like the outdoor stuff. Alone, Alaska Wild Frontier. Alaskan Bush People (that one n small doses there's a lot that bother me with this show). The only one I liked on TLC was the The Little Couple with Jen and Bill and their super cute kids I was excited to see they are coming back in Sept!! I LOVE everything about them! I am excited to see what happens .. TheLittleCoupleReturn I am about the same height as Bill. I don't like other one with the families. But I really like Jen and Bill and I follow them on twitter.

Mostly I don't like it, except for Teen Mom, Housewives, and Alone. Alone is my favorite and supposedly is all filmed by the contestants themselves, and it's clearly not scripted. I love that one.
I don't watch anything with contestants having sex with one another. That's why I quit watching The Real World years ago and why I've never seen even one episode of The Bachelor, etc. Those people are all so gross.
I also hate pawn shows, repo man shows, Amish shows, model shows, dance mom shows, little people shows, tattoo wars shows, fake moonshiners, swamp people, Bigfoot hunters, pit bull parolees, you name it.

I like the game show type reality TV. I'm not a fan of following people acting badly around with a camera (or even just following people around with a camera while they pretend to lead their lives). Even on a game show type like Survivor, I usually don't like the players who are jerks.

We cut the cord on broadcast and cable television over three years ago. I still miss Hoarders and those truckers in the Himalayas/Andes shows. Fortunately, my reality addiction has been replaced with a subtitle addiction on Netflix. I don't feel the icky feeling of being a voyeur anymore.

I like Ice Road Truckers. HAHAHA! Oh, and the one that's similar to that, from Canada, Highway Thru Hell. But that's the extent of my "reality" watching. I guess you can count cooking shows, but those are what I would call "instructional" not scripted "reality." I always tell people I'm trying to ESCAPE reality, I don't want to watch it.

I used to watch project runway. Not anymore. I don't watch any competition show.
The only thing I watch that would be considered a reality show is American pickers. They very rarely bring their personal lives into it which is nice. Some is obviously set up for the sake of setting the scene.
I will watch Hollywood medium too sometimes. Again, he very rarely brings personal life and drama into it.
I detest any show that follows people through their personal lives. To keep the ratings, they manufacture drama.
I'll watch Hoarders if there's nothing else on and I need the noise. That usually leads to me finding a bag to toss or donate.

Hated 'em - ever since their re-emergence in the late '90s/early '00s w/Survivor and American Idol. Very little "reality" about them.
