Yay!!! My got his Friday afternoon and promptly our only car broke and was unusable! I had SUCH a list for him to do over the weekend. I have 3 cars; mine, my daughter's and my son's, but loaned one to my ex (who did not return it) and my daughter went out of town while the car was still working. Sigh. Fortunately, it was a small thing, but it made a loud loud noise.
This week, all I'm doing is sending my son on errands. I am so so happy!!! I understand how you feel!

Congrats!
I've noticed that kids seem to be waiting longer to get their drivers license. I wonder why that is.

He is a handsome boy. And congrats on the license.
My fourth and last boy got just got his license recently. The day he took the test with his drivers' ed teacher, he texted me. "Passed test. Need car." Ah, ha ha. He's still waiting on that car.

Congratulations to you! I know your son did it, but it's awesome for the parent to have another driver in the house. I have two with permits in the house. I'm hoping one can get fully licensed before big brother leaves home.

Both of my boys received their license within 24 hours of their 16th birthdays. They were both involved in sports and it was the best feeling to not have to attend all of those practices.
Congrats to your son, and yes, he is very handsome!

Congrats to your son. My older DS also waited until he was 18 to get his license, and I was fine with that. His GF didn't get hers until a year or so ago, when she was 22!

Congrats to your handsome son! My twin sons turned 15 on the 4th and one has been bugging me to death to start drivers ed. I signed them up for the parent taught program yesterday. I may lose my mind before this is over! It wasn't so bad with DS1 who is now 17, but two is going to be an ordeal! I hate that they took drivers ed out of the schools here!!!

Congrats! Both of mine got theirs the first day they could when they turned 16. My DD was just 16 in June, and she is my last... it's glorious that they are both drivers now. Ahhhhhh......

It's the best, isn't it? My oldest got hers a few weeks ago and it's been awesome to have Mom's Uber Service mostly shut down.

Ds got his a couple weeks ago when he turned 16. Around here most of them get it as soon as they can if their parents can afford drivers ed.
