Am I the only one that doesn't care for these? I just cannot seem to make them work, even in an embellishment grouping. I just don't care for the shape.

I struggle with them a little - I might use them as a layering piece in an embellishment cluster. The waves makes a good spot to tuck in something small. But they are not my favorite.

Yes, I struggle with those too. I Have a stamp like that I've never used.

Yep, another struggler. I like things precise and even and measured out and these are always too wonky for me.

Hate them. Have gotten to the point where, if they're on a sticker sheet or something, I just throw them out. They're too "fussy" for my taste.

I like them to tie photos and other elements together on a page, If you can get the banner to swoop across a couple of items arranged above/below each other and then catch a third item to the right or left, it kinda ties the whole thing together as a unit.
Depending on how wide the banner is, it can be layered over a big letter title.
And they work great as part of clusters I have seen. Unfortunately, I am cluster challenged, so haven't tried that.
The only issue I have with them is keeping the lettering on them horizontal when you don't have a bottom edge, but I think I will try a technique I saw on a video where she placed the bottom portion of her title letter stickers on a ruler before placing the top half on a page and then removing the ruler. Would prob work with any straight edge.

I have trouble making them work, too. I had one that said "Here we go" that I was determined to use for pictures of the Peter Pan ride at Disneyland. I moved it around so many times and finally stuck it down and moved on.

I'm a fan. I prefer them for cardmaking rather than scrapbooking, though.

I don't mind them although I prefer the straight edged ones. Inevitably the banner sweeps the wrong way for the place I want to put it on my pages.

I hate the "ribbon" banners like that and never use them. Something about them just automatically turns me off.

I like the banners. I don't care for the overall look of the image you posted though. The font, colors, and graphics in this line remind me of seasonal papers from the early days at Keeping Memories Alive. I actually did LOVE some of those, but not all.
