I need some new shoes for work and want to get a few pairs of flats. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm a teacher, so I'm on my feet quite a bit, so the more comfortable the better!

I recently bought some cheap Old Navy flats and am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they are. They aren't going to last too long, but I'm on my feet all day and so far so good.

Clarks, Sofft and a couple of other brands are my favorites for teaching. When you're on your feet like we are you don't mess around with old navy!
Oh, and check out Hush Puppies chaste ballet. Several colors and verrrry comfortable.

I agree. I've been wearing them for a few years now & love them. They aren't cheap but to me they are worth the $$. delila

I have some Sketcher suede flats that are amazing. I got them on Amazon and they were cheap.

I just got some Ahnu shoes. They have great arch support and came on the recommendation of my orthopedist.

Alegrias are all I wear for the most part 90% of the year. I have closed toe and open. LOVE them, and always get them on clearance. I can wear them all day long. I wear them with dresses, capris, jeans, etc.

if I am remembering right, melissa posted about some flats she loves that are Cole Haan. The ones I am wearing (when not in sandals this summer) are more like oxfords. In fact, they are called ZeroGrande Oxfords... something like that. They run around $200 at Cole Haan, but you can find them around $75-90 at places like DSW and Nordstrom Rack.

I'm a teacher, too - I have worn Dansko, Clark, and Born shoes, but if you're looking for casual flats, try on some Skechers with memory foam insoles. Oh Em Gee they are little pillows of heaven. Here is an example. The ones I'm wearing right now (for a week-long conference with tons of walking) are all black and look ever so slightly more formal than the ones I linked. The "tread" sole is what makes them casual, but they are worth it! They're lightweight and just awesome.
