I'm trying to scrap some of MY photos. From the 70s and 80s. I have 1-3 photos each of my 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 8th birthdays... it's hard since I don't remember much. While I might remember a few details from years 3,6,7,9 and 10+ I don't have photos. My mom took more photos than the average mom, but apparently birthday's weren't her thing.
I actually know there were pictures from birthday #6 (family tradition happens at age 6) but don't know what happened to them... they were not in my Grandma's photos when she died (I scanned every album in her house).
Have you scrapped any of your kid birthdays? Did you luck out and have photos of them?

I had one birthday party when I was five. Maybe three pictures. I think a roll of film lasted a full year in our house! I haven't tried to scrap any old pictures.

I don't have kids so when I do actually scrapbk photos I don't necessarily journal. Just have fun with the page.
I actualy have picked up old photos of random people from antique stores and had fun with those photos.

I scrapped my childhood birthdays. I had a few pictures from my early childhood and a few from my teens - nothing in between. I still have one of those autograph dogs I got at my 11th birthday party so I am going to take pictures of it and close ups of the autographs and scrap it. There are no photos from that party though I think photos, journalling, memorabilia or any combination makes a good memory keeping effort. I always tell my stories with my theme scrapbooking style so I would use birthday stuff that evoked the memory of the birthday.

Nope, no birthday photos. I actually only have maybe 5 photos of my childhood. Most are family photos, not just me.

My Mum scrapped a lot of photos from when we were growing up, including some of the more memorable birthdays. It's great to look back on it all. She made me some amazing cakes over the years - including a decorated gingerbread house from scratch, which I and my friends then pulled to pieces

Someday I'd like to go back and scrap some of my life like birthdays, but I'm okay in knowing that the pictures are at my parents house. Those years are even stored in photo boxes, I did that when I was in college for her...but the 25 years of pictures since that time are a mess 😂

So age 4 (one photo of all the party friends lined up on the couch) is finished. Age 5 (3 photos of me coloring but one at least has a cake in it), and age 8 (no cake or birthday anything in the photos but I was holding a bag with a present in it) are scrapped.
I think I will have to use my yearly school photos, and do more of a Me at X layout... for the other years. And the ages I don't even have a school photo (or only the tiny wallet size) I will have to come up with something even more creative...
It's kind of fun scrapping about myself for a change. Someone should come out with a birthday line that says Happy Birthday to Me on it though... all my birthday embellishments don't sound quite right...

I don't have many birthday photos of myself and the couple I do have are small, black and white or poor quality. My parents weren't good about taking photos. But I have a bunch that I got from MIL of DH's childhood including birthdays that I want to scrap at some point.

I have scrapped some childhood birthdays. If my mom had been a scrapbooker back then the things I remembered from those days probably would have been very different because I'd remember what she wrote down
for your 6th birthday with the big family tradition what about using a photo of you at that age and the journaling about what that tradition is, maybe how it got started? or even if your family still does it

my birthday is july 4 so the few pages i've done were mostly focused on that theme. considering we don't do much on that day (no cookout, no parades, etc.) it gives me an excuse to use my stash of july 4 goodies i'm more of a 5 W's scrapper so as long as i have the essential info on there i'm good.

I have scrapped one photo from a childhood birthday. I plan on doing more. mostly I have 1 or 2 pics from a couple of my birthdays. On the one I have done I told a story about how my Mom made the cake and how i kept the little glass animals from it. Then I added a little journaling about me from that age from stories my Mom told me - like the overalls i wore all the time because I loved He Haw and Buck owens. That I loved Fonze and I liked to play school with my older siblings. Snipets I could remember. I have found that for 70's and 80's pics from my Childhood the Sassfras Lass papers work really well if you have any. I also think that the new Shimelle Glitter Girl lines is going to work well with my early 80's pics. Here is the layout I have done - Four 1976 Scraping 70's childhood birthday

I've done quite a few but I've also scrapped a lot of pages of my own childhood. My grandmother was an avid photographer and my Mum always made sure to take photos on our birthdays so I'm lucky to have at least a couple of shots from each year, and often more, including photos of the cake and the guests.
I don't always remember a lot of the details about each birthday so I've used the photos to journal about a specific aspect, such as the process of choosing a cake from the kids cake cookbook which my grandmother would then make for us, and the occasional special gift if it happens to make it into the photos.

I don't have many childhood birthday photos, but I hope someday to get around to doing something with them. My biggest memories are of the fun, decorated bakery birthday cakes. I loved the one with the ballerina on top.

Nope, no birthday photos. I actually only have maybe 5 photos of my childhood. Most are family photos, not just me. Same here, very few photos and none between 5 and 10, not even at Christmas. Our camera broke and we couldn't afford a new one. Just this week my cousin showed me a photo of when I was about 7 at our grandparents house, I was thrilled.
