I love that my stuff mostly matches. I know not everyone can afford (and therefore thrift shops) or even wants that (a different design style than what I have), but I like clean lines in my craft room. I feel like mismatched (and heavy wood finishes like oak or darker stains) furniture in a room overflowing with supplies would make my room feel cluttered no matter how much I organized everything. White and other solid paint colors just look more orderly to me and don't compete for your attention over pretty supplies.
I love the stamp n storage organizers that I designed.
I love the shelf I built for more desktop storage (if I see it, I am more likely to use it).
I love my pegboards.
I love my $5 copic spica acrylic display I bought at a going out of business sale.

I love that my room is all mismatched and dark timber and old stuff from antique shops. I love the vintage tool drawers I have on my desk. They keeps most of my embellishments at my fingertips while I'm working and I find it easy to put things away while I'm working on projects. I really love my paper drawers which I found at Target and which hold 12x12 papers perfectly.

I love the J-stickers I put on my stencils and have them hanging from my pegboard. So much easier to access.
I love the wooden boxes I found and hung on the pegboard wall to hold all my paint bottles.
I love the pretty rag strip valance and twinkle lights in my art room window. It makes me feel like I'm in a fairy land at night.

I like that my storage is versatile. I have 24 Ikea cubbies, 12 Sterilite 3-drawer units, and lots of decorative boxes and jars. When I need more space for a new project, it's very easy for me to re-purpose space from pretty much anywhere else.

I ordered some Avery Elle clear envelope things from Amazon (the extra large size) to hold my clear stamps recently. The envelopes stand up in a shoe box, and I can easily flip through every stamp collection I own (except the tiny ones that have their box and are in regular white envelopes) nothing falls out and it's easy to put the stamp set back in the envelope and stuff it back in the shoe box when I'm finished using it. I've tried other stamp organization for my clear stamps and this one has been the easiest to use. Iris cases for all my themed papers/embellishments. Working on Halloween, grab the Halloween bin and every 12 by 12 paper, 6 by 6 pad, sticker sheet, and stamp set is right there. When I'm done I just throw it all back in. I have an 80s lunch box collection which doubles as scrapbook supply storage. All my ink pads are in the Strawberry Shortcake lunch box, all the mists are in the She-ra lunch box etc, all the sharp objects are in the Smurf lunch box and they are on a shelf too high for my 3 year old to reach but I know which one to grab when I need those items

I wanted a card catalog but was thrilled (with the size of the drawers and the price) when I found the thing we call "the gray thing" instead. Aren't all those drawers fun? Ours has household stuff in it, but someday it will be converted to scrap embellishment central

I love that I have 2 closets with shelving. Makes it much easier to put things away. The open shelves over my desk are great for reaching things quickly. I love that most of my storage is closed.

The prints you have hanging, we have some from that series that are postcard size that we had framed all together hanging in our family room. They are all from places we visited on a trip out West. I love them.

I Love my standing desk with expedite cubbies underneath it for holding my kits. I also love my card catalog that holds loose embellishments. Finally I really love my curtain rod next to my desk with my rainbow ribbon waterfall. I love using ribbon on my pages and having it hanging makes it easy to test which one I want to use and cut when I have made my selection.

sorting most of my embellishments by color and storing them in DVD cases
It's so much easier for me to grab the red case and look for an embellishment, than it is to go through labels and stickers and die cuts and random pieces all around searching for "a little red for this corner over here"

i love the stacking wire shelves (i think many people use these to take to crops?) on my scrappy desk. i have a 6-foot table so i can fit 3 across. they're wonderful for keeping stuff at my fingertips because if i have to dig, it ain't happening.
not really organizational, but i love that i put my table on bed risers so i can stand to scrap, but that also created more space underneath to store things.
i love the 3-drawer unit i have my thickers stored in and my color drawers for embellies.

I'm not knocking wood (see what I did there? lol) but it just doesn't work for me in my craft room that already has so much 'stuff'. Clean design and white furniture (for the most part) keeps the 'stuff' from competing with the furniture. It is a tight space as it is (a decent sized room but LOTS of walls very close together...think of butting up a few hallways and that's my scrap room) and I think that heavy stained woods would make it feel even more closed in...if that makes sense?? I would love a mix of old woods and clean lines elsewhere in my house, just not my craft room.

I would love something like a card catalog (but yes, I would totally deface it by painting it if I were to put it in my craft room...so maybe it's best for those against painting vintage wood pieces that I can't afford one) to sort things out. Little drawers are so handy!

I love my large credenza, matching ladder shelves, floating shelves, and desk. They are all black. I am generally not a fan of black wood, but it works in this room. The walls are red and cream. When my room is clean, it looks really nice and other than a huge Clip it Up, it looks office-like. I do not like plastic storage, but I use it in my closets. It is definitely practical. I love my rug and teal accents. I have a lot of large flat baskets (same size) that fit on the ladder shelves for storage. I also have a hand drawn dragon picture from one of my favorite artists- Michael Hague. It goes with lots of other dragons in the room. You know, dragons and scrapping. They pair beautifully.

I love my old Cropper Hopper cardstock holders and their small paper holders that allow me to organize by manufacturer and color.
I love my clear plastic storage boxes that let me keep things neat.
I especially love my IKEA Expedit that holds most of the above.
P. S. In my house all small items must be stored in containers with secure lids or those items may end up as expensive cat toys. Paper is stored in the closet since claw holes and teeth marks are not the type of distressing I want.

My favorite organizing tips were all picked up from other crafters.
I repackage my Thickers into 6x12 Ziploc-style plastic bags (tip from Tracy Banks/MercyTiara). This makes them SO much easier to get in and out of the package and I can keep duplicates together in one bag.
I use the Avery Elle stamp pockets with labeled white cardstock inserts (tip from Jennifer McGuire) for my stamps. I love being able to flip through all my sets quickly since they are all the same size package.
I keep embellishments together by type (enamel dots together, wood veneer together, etc), but when I am have "killed" a kit or a pack of die cuts and just don't know where to put those last one or two items, I sort them by color in 4x6 Iris cases. If I need a little something in a certain color for a page, I know just where to look. (tip from Nicole Jones (nicolejones911)

This does remind me though, that one of my favorites is using K-Cup drawers (Nifty brand before the recent redesign that has no bottoms on the drawers) for my washi. I got the idea from a search on youtube. A few months later I met (via selling some PL cards) a local and she told me about her youtube channel...one day while searching through her content, I discovered it was HER video that inspired me to use the drawers in the first place!
