I am watching some videos and seeing lots of texture. It made me curious. How do you add texture to your creations?
I am not a fan of really bulky pages so my texture is thinner but I love using wood veneers. That is the bulkiest I will go.
I like using cork, tissue paper, and used to love vellum (haven't used it in years).
What about you?

I love texture. Some ways I achieve it are:
Pre glittered or embossed papers.
Fabric like denim or canvas or burlap. Occassionally ribbon if I think to look into the ribbon cupboard. Maybe a flower or two, but haven't used a lot of those lately.
Chipboard elements: some as created by manufacturer; some I paint or alter in some other way.
Wood veneer or metal embellishments. Brads or (sometimes) eyelets.
Layered stickers. Or I will sometimes raise stickers or other elements up with foam tape, or give them a bit of a lift with a coat of liquid glue.
Embossing folders for some elements on my page.
Paint &/or enamel dots.
Texture paste through a stencil or smudged across a page.
Glitter or chunky glitter sprinkled over liquid glue or paint or texture paste...

Hand sewing is my GO TO texture element. I just love it. I would never have thought of it until I saw/found Allison Davis's work/sketches/online classes. It fills the void for the cross-stitching gal inside of me.

grammadee has good ideas above. I LOVE texture. I machine sew on everything I create. I also use paint on everything I create as well as book paper, stencils, stamps, marks with pencils and pens, washi tape, you name it.

I only add a lot of bulk now and again, although I am partial to buttons. I love it when i can work fabric into a page somehow. That's probably my favorite different texture. Overall, though, my pages are pretty flat and I'm okay with that.

Well, well, well - look who sneaked back in after being gone all month Texture - I guess that would be things I still do like paper tearing, and I sand and distress. I use 3D elements of all kinds, especially enamel dots, brads and memorabilia. I still use fibers. I picked up a bunch of wood things and I am using those. The only thing I don't do is mess with paint and other mixed media texture stuff.

You name it, I'll use it. I love layers and texture. So ALL of the above. I didn't see transparencies, typing paper, or mulberry mentioned, so I'll add those in as well.

How do you add texture to your creations? My pages aren't too bulky. I like: enamel dots using pop dots under diecuts, punchies, and to lift layers or photographs. using embossing folders to add textures to cardstock embellishments and layers. chipboard alphabets and elements. using Nuvo drops to outline patterns on paper. paper flowers. Often layered together. Stickles to add glitter to layouts.

For me, it's usually just wood veneers, cork, washi, enamel dots, glitter brads, fussy cut papers, chipboard, items raised on pop dots, twine, lots of layers...

I've lately been on a tulle kick. I love tying it around my layout.
I also love stitching. Until now it's all been hand stitching; but my daughter pulled out her machine and showed me how to use it recently so I've got a handful of layouts with machine stitching on them too.
Paper flowers, buttons, flair, resin shapes (from aliexpress), metal embellishments all are frequently seen on my pages. I also have a handful of stencils that I love to use with modeling paste.
