Actually a sticker sheet... Hello Summer by Echo park was my first collection from my first online order in 2012 (seems like it was older than that but I guess not). I'm down to 7 tiny stickers on the sticker sheet and I am determined to use them today and officially kill the collection.
Of course during my "research" trying to find out how old the collection was I found it is still available a bunch of places online, just in case I want more and want to take another 5 years to use it all up. I wish that were true of other collections...
Have you "killed" anything lately?

Have you "killed" anything lately? A bottlefly that flew into the powdered coffee creamer container at work a few minutes ago, lol. I really don't think I have ever killed an entire collection. Truly.

I wish that were true of other collections... Have you "killed" anything lately? I LOVED the Hello Summer collection. I even bought it twice, the last time was at Tuesday Morning back in October or November. I have never killed a sticker sheet although Shimelle just did a video about this very thing recently - in the past week or two. I've used up the papers in a collection until it was whittled down to scraps but never and entire collection.

I don't think I've ever killed a collection either 'cause I sure don't remember having any funerals. You go, though!

Never bought a whole collection of anything because I think I'd get sick of it before it was used up.

For me just using up a sticker sheet or any embellishment is a triumph. Celebrate even the small achievements!

Like msliz and anniefb, I've never purchased a full collection. I would go nuts still having some left five years on... But I'm a serial sticker sheet and ephemera pack killer. As soon as I reach that "for sure not going to use what's left" stage, I come up with my next murder plan. And then I kill it any way I can: embellish a wrapped gift, stick it down on a card or envelope I'm sending or *gasp* straight in the bin. I don't care. It has got to go.

Have you "killed" anything lately? I try to all the time. We ARE talking supplies. LOL. I run through small embellishments like water. I am a heavy embellisher. I've never bought a whole collection of anything. Me either. I know I would be bored of it before i finished it.

I loved that Echo Park line, it was great!
I've never bought an entire collection and I don't think I've ever used up an entire 12x12 sticker sheet lol.

The closest I have come is that old distressed looking school line by Simple Stories - one of their first collections. I used everything I bought but don't know if I may have missed something.

I haven't but I'll bet it's a good feeling! As a kind of spinoff ,I love watching Vicki P card kit videos for SSS because she always shows what's left over after her 10 cards Obviously there are stamps left or tools or ink pads if they were included, but when I see she has a few papers left I always think...why not just make a couple of extra cards to use those up!

I pretty much killed Basic Grey's Out of Print collection pack. I have the alpha sheet and some leftover scraps. No full sheets. My daughter picked the biggest scrap (out of all the paper I have) to use on a challenge layout this week. So now, I'm only down to small scraps. Yay!
I don't think I've ever come close to killing another collection pack. Seems like a good summer challenge. I'm leaving in a few hours for Disney. When I return, I'm going to work on killing the Say Cheese collection!

I've never bought a whole collection. I'm too cheap! Embellishments are expensive.

I usually just get down to a small amount of paper and embellishments, then divide it up into my general stash.
Sticker sheets I'll cut apart and put with a theme or in my small boxes by color. The tiny bits I know I'll never use go in the trash.
That's what I consider killing a kit.

I do it all the time. I am selective on what I purchase, so I love each collection enough to use it up. Maybe not literally all of it (a couple stickers here, a sheet there), but enough for me to pronounce it dead or at least mostly dead and send the little leftovers on to my sister.
My latest "victim" was Simple Stories' Hello Baby.

Well it's dead I might have part of a patterned paper left, a few die cuts and one sticker (the quote bubble) left but I'm pronouncing it dead. I really liked that paper line, and it worked really well with kid summer photos so the fact that it took 5 years to use it all makes it a little easier to understand my out of control paper stash. I should count how many layouts I got out of that one collection...

Not even close. I buy lots of collections, or at least many pieces to a collection. 90% of my layouts start on a solid cardstock background and I use lots of smaller pieces of patterned paper. It would be nearly impossible to fully kill all the scraps. And there are always those super lame stickers on every sheet that I just can't use.

This is such a (weirdly?) fun thread! I am a hoarder (both not using things I like and keeping things I don't like just-in-case) but recently started doing travelers notebooks. It is so thrilling to pull something out and say "I'm going to use this no matter what!" I am working on a process video for a spread I just did and I pulled out a random Amy Tan sticker sheet and decided to use as much of it as I could. Boop- there goes a pineapple! Haha, I just kept hearing the peas in my head "a zebra?! WHY??" I will probably have a party when I figure out a way to use that dang zebra...

If you count throwing (or giving) away leftovers that I can't stand to look at one more minute, then YES....I have!
All kidding aside, killing a collection through any means necessary is such a wonderful feeling. I think I am there with my homemade 'travel' kit that I brought with me on vacation to scrap. FYI: I don't usually scrap on vacation but this one is a bit different; I'm here for a month with lots of down time, so I thought I might be productive. I have completed 10 pages so far in about 2 weeks.

I don't think I have ever killed a collection. I don't think about scrapping or card making that way. I use what I want at the time and save the scraps with similar themed items to play with later.
When the bag with a particular collection gets near empty, I amalgamate its contents with those in another bag (sort of matching theme &/or colour)
Sticker sheets--unless they annoy me enough by falling off their background piece &/or sticking themselves together--I keep around for.ev.er. Create E's out of F's and e's out of c's and A's our of V's and N's out of tipped over Z's. When I am down to x's and Q's, I might pitch it (or snip off a couple of bits to make y's and O's--see above for where the small bits go)

the closest i've ever come was using an echo park collection kit with shimelle's perfect collection class. i used at least 99% of the papers (i scrap 8.5x11 so even if i do a pp background i have scraps) and a good portion of the stickers, but not all. it was one of the vintagey kits and i had more trouble making the stickers work with my modern photos.
