I got a Cricut this past yesterday and I am loving it. I wanted to make stencils and I see that cricut has stencil vinyl paper but it looks pricey. I've seen videos where people use contact paper but that would seem to be to not be that sturdy.
Has anyone tried to use Yupo paper to make a stencil? I want something durable.
Tia.

I use uncut stencil blanks from the craft store. They never wear out. Not that expensive.

I've used stencil blanks for smaller things, but once one of my siblings (professional paper hanger / house painter) needed a large stencil for walls that would be a repeating image. I doubled up clear Contact paper (or maybe three layers) and then cut that with my electronic cutter. I was told it worked spectacularly so I wouldn't rule it out.
