Holy Moly!!! It's almost already time for the kids to go back to school. I don't even have kids, and that seems soon! Hopefully, that will give you all more scrappy time. Welcome to monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post both a sketch, and a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. I'll be including something for both 1 page scrappers, as well as 2 page scrappers, and some of the LO's can be modified to fit either one. I like seeing the creativity of changing them up! I think it will be fun to see what you pick, or if you decide to do both! Here we go! As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild! These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! admin, please add to the master list. Thank you!

That is a very interesting two page sketch. I think it would be excellent for some travel photos.

I did a sideways version of the sketch. My first layout coming back to the craft. Great job! We knew you could do it! What did you buy to get started back? I want to try the first sketch. I have a lot of little pic I'd like to get on one page. Need to find one large one to use with them.

I have a lot of little pic I'd like to get on one page. Need to find one large one to use with them. Everything on that layout came from Michael's. I did a big order that I'm waiting on from scrapbook warehouse. Tools and embellishments. And then I subbed to The Scraproom. And yesterday I ordered a Gossamer Blue kit. I am just waiting on some more goodies to come. I am looking at all the kit clubs right now trying to decide.

@elaynef, I really like the photo you chose to be your focal photo in this sketch. I also like how you used the swirls on the right side.

So glad for this sketch. Much more fun than what I was thinking to do. What an AWESOME 2-pager! Love the focal photo. Super use of the sketch! Glad you had fun. And jeremysgirl, that is a wonderful adaptation to a single page. I love the squares of pp. they remind me of quilt blocks. Cute photos, too

I really want to try the two page sketch. I might have to rotate the large photo, though. I have a lot of landscape pics from our recent trip.

I love this sketch! I've used it several times since you posted and it is so easy and comes together quickly, using a lot of pictures that I don't absolutely love and are not masterpeices, but I want to include. My dd send pictures almost every day of the children so I have tons of them and want to keep them and this sketch is perfect for that. Sometimes I have used a miscellaneous photo that is not mine for the large photo when I don't have a large one. That large middle pic is the secret for this sketch, I think.

Here is my take on the double pager. This was perfect for all the pics I took of my mom's flowers. Thanks for the inspiration. Flowers by Jacqueline Bruce, on Flickr

I still want to give that 2 pager a try, but here is my take on the single page sketch: Country Fair by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Then I used up some of the scraps from that one, flipped the design and put together a facing page: Country Fair2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Thanks for doing this every month, KikiPea! And thanks to all who take on the challenge!

Sooo, this LO looks nothing like the original sketch, but it inspired me to create the final product. SO fun!

Never too late to share your creativity!
I love that 2 pager: beautiful colours, and those tucked in flowers give it a very festive air. It might not quite match the sketch, but it DOES provide completely new inspiration to get those small details onto a LO with a focal photo or two.
I love the angle of the photo of that sweet little guy, reaching for the great unknown... Great treatment with the spray of stars...
