I challenge you to pick something from your stash that you haven't used in a while and use it on your next couple of pages...anybody game?? This month I am going to choose die cuts and twine. Something I have plenty of, but use seldom.

Ribbons/lace/fiber same as last month, since I didn't do a single paper layout last month. Of course, I may not fare any better this moth either.

I hope to get some pages done this month. And I need to challenge myself to use ANY of the gazillion embellishments I have tucked away in various containers and drawers. I have wood veneer, brads, metal pieces, twine, ribbon, chipboard both naked and patterned, as well as a bunch of pre made diecuts.
Yet lately, I have been using cs, pp, photos and stickers, and that's about it. If I use a diecut, it will be from the same collection as the pp.
I guess what I am saying is I want to pile it on this month!

I have a nice long crop next weekend. I am going to use fibers. I have used some on this particular project but I bought more and found more in my stash so I will use them on quite a few pages. At least that's the plan.

I'm debating getting rid of my Spectrum Noir markers. Maybe if I use them on a few projects I can decide if I want to keep them or not.

I've decided to keep working on my almost finished alpha stickers/thickers this month. I had two sets that were nearly done at the end of July and I've finished one of them this month along with a set of thickers that has only one phrase left.

So I have been looking over the pages I put together this month, and am happy to report that I used the following: Brads, and at least one eyelet Wood veneer (clouds, hearts, stars) Metal pieces (leaves and stars) twine burlap ribbon an old coloured cb star I also used stamps on a couple of LO's. I pulled out some premade diecuts, but ended up not using them in favor of some other item. Now that I have that bin liberated from the corner cupboard, I may go through it to reacquaint myself with exactly what is in there. So all in all, a successful month in the use of my stash. How are the rest of you doing? |
