I've been thinking of branching out into trying TH texture paste with stencils to add dimension to my layouts. But I was worried that it might crack eventually, turn into dust and fall off into the bottom of a page protector.
Is it very rigid after drying, or is there any give?
Any reviews?

I am not sure if Tim's is any different from other embossing pastes, but the ones I have used tend to dry well on the page and stay where they are put. I think the trick is not to put the paste on too thick, and it stays pretty flexible so can bend with the page. I think Patter could probably give you some good advice about using mixed media.

It's the same as any other texture and embossing pastes. No problems.
ETA that was supposed to read 'any' not 'no'.

I've been using the Ranger transparent matte texture paste and it's holding up very well so far. Now whether it'll look great in 10 years' time, I don't know. Fingers crossed! But right now, everything looks top notch. There is give, too. It bends with the paper to a certain degree (I haven't tried actually folding a piece of paper with the texture paste on it but I could try if you're interested). Doesn't feel like a crusty rock candy hard thing. I agree about being careful not to go too thick with your paste layer. And don't overwork the paste either. Lay it down, smear it thin, don't keep going back and forth (or it'll start drying around the edges), just lift your stencil and clean it off. Voilà. ETA: there's a sweet lemony scent to the Ranger matte texture paste and I've got to say that it's kind of addictive. I sometimes just open the pot to smell it.

Texture paste and embossing paste are different in texture. I really don't like embossing paste thus don't use it. I do use Liquitex Light Modeling Paste the most and LOVE it. I also use Golden's. The light tends to not be as thick, spreads nicely, dries nicely, and lasts. I have not had anything happen to it over the years on my layouts or other mixed media projects. I quit buying regular modeling paste because I don't like it as well as the light. Liquitex is cheaper than Golden's. I have been through many tubs of Liquitex Light Modeling Paste.
