nicolepPretty awesome! I got the 5 card dies that make little folding card covers, an extra set of the wavy border dies so I can cut two at once, ugly unicorn MFT set, a flamingo layer stamp, a GIANT stamp set with a knight, dragon, gorgeous unicorn, princess, playing cards, castle, magic stuff and sayings, some border dies, and I don't remember what else, but it was all really great. If I get a chance this afternoon and can figure out where to host, I'll add a pic. Maybe if I'm lucky, today will be another happy mail day!

Update: my "Beary fun" stamp set (You're Clawsome by Lawn Fawn) has arrived. It is indeed your old style cling material AKA floppy acrylic. It stamps well. My nails were (and still are) drying and le boyfriend was in shower but I still really wanted to test them out quickly so I grabbed a piece of crappy flimsy cardstock that makes ink spider out a bit (and had already been treated to some watercolours on the other side) and the ABM Grass Green ink which were the easiest to get my hands on. And then daylight faded, my phone camera's flash went off hence the lighter halo in the middle (IRL it has stamped just fine and evenly all over). No problem getting these to stamp properly with my TH stamp platform. I tried out the main piece as well as a couple of smaller stamps and a word sentiment. The result would have looked more convincing and cleaner with some StazOn and/or better quality cardstock. But alas, I'm a naughty scrapper and the freshly painted nails were prioritised over the scrappy play! Would recommend these for one-off projects, a few cards. Not for stamps you're going to reach for regularly for your planner or PL though. Otherwise, save yourself a few (and then some) bucks and just get a knock-off from AliExpress. Attachments:

My thoughts on Aliexpress:
1. I have purchased a LOT of dies over the last few months and every one has been good quality & cuts fine. They even cut watercolor paper!
2. I've had mixed results on the stamps -- they are flimsy & not the quality we are used to from US companies. Some stamp fine, others not.
3. Stampin' Up has a set of dies called "Swirly Scribbles" for $27. I found the IDENTICAL set for $4.38 on Aliexpress. I compared my dies with a friend's dies from Stampin' Up and they were identical in size & shape.
4. I've never had any issues with payment using my credit card.
5. Not to "stir the pot" on the China vs. US products.....BUT.....has anybody wondered (besides me) if China isn't making the dies and then US buying them at $4 and repackaging them and selling for $20??? Just had to throw that in.
And NOW, to enable you even more....
I found Stampin' Up Birthday Friends dies for $5.23 that SU sells for $31.

Just had to throw that in. Yeah, we're pretty much certain that a lot of these dies are actually made in China and simply priced up by quite a bit by the scrapbook companies... Could you link us up to your finds, fizzy? And welcome amongst us, by the way!

Just because you can buy something for significantly less from China does not mean that American companies are raking in huge profits. American companies have American overhead. They're paying at least minimum wage to their employees; they have costs of doing business in America, like renting warehouse or retail space; they have insurance and marketing and shipping and taxes and other costs that factor in.
I get wanting to make the most of your money. But that doesn't mean that American companies are ripping you off or enjoying huge, exorbitant markups.
Most of these items were likely contracted to Chinese manufacturers by American companies and designers. These chinese companies are, in turn, producing and selling these items without the brand name, irrespective of US copyright and distribution laws. The implication is that American companies are being greedy and unethical, when the truth is that these sites aren't exactly operating ethically.
Just some food for thought.

Technically we don't know that either. It's perfectly possible that under their contracts, the Chinese manufacturers are entitled to the excess of any factory run done for American distributors. I suspect that is the case for American Crafts and possibly Kaisercraft. For the smaller companies like Lawn Fawn that claim to be manufactured in the US, probably not - those do look like IP theft. I do think that when a $3 die in China is going for nearly $30 here, people are right to be skeptical.

Has anyone bought embossing folders? Yes, I have bought a few embossing folders from Ali. There is no way I would be able to tell the difference between a piece of cardstock run through my Ali embossing folder or an American bought embossing folder.

Has anyone bought embossing folders? Yes and all have worked well. Some seem thicker than I'm used to but thats the only difference. I really like the selection on Aliexpress. I forgot to add that the prices for the embossing folders are not as good of a bargain as the die and stamp prices, but still lower than we are used to.

I just spent two hours ( ) looking for a specific die and found it on page 130. And of course I ended up with 25 items in my cart that I purchased!

Yeah...that box die is headed my way. Thanks!
Now...dumb question. When people post links, I see stores I've never seen before. They have gazillions, I get that. But when I search, it always returns 8-12 of the same stores I get EVERY time I search, and I can't for the life of me get it to NOT restrict my search to that handful of stores, and I've really tried. When someone posts a link here to something, it's always to a store I've never seen and I find so much more cool stuff I've never seen!
Anyone else have this problem, and anyone know how to get a broader results? Thanks!

I placed my first order ever last night! Do tell! I just placed a small order to see how it works out. This particular seller accepted PayPal so I am hoping everything will go through smoothly with it. I bought these alphas in all the colors and this coffee stamp.
