Finally used up my stash of 5" and X refills. Stopped by ACM and Js and was shocked at how expensive they have become! I always used coupons but i need several to finish a project, I dont want to run to the stores just to buy 2/day. Anyone have a good cheap online source?

Amazon, and I don't put my adhesive in my x anymore and it is a lot less wasteful that way...

When I tried to do that years ago I could never get it right. I'd love to know how that works. I might actually start buying adhesive again.

While the Xyron X adhesive is on the pricey side, it's my splurge in scrapbooking because it saves lots of time with little pieces. I'm curious on good deals as well!

I just take the white roll, unroll a little bit and stick the thing that needs adhesive directly to the glue. Then just pull it off. When a big strip doesn't have any adhesive on it anymore I cut it off with scissors. You can see where the adhesive is on the paper backing so you know where to stick stuff. The roll of clear whatever and the plastic cartridge don't get used.

When I was searching for the 5 inch refills for Christmas crafting and cards. I found the cheapest on-line prices at Amazon and Walmart. Walmart actually had the best price and they do have free shipping at $35.

I am going to have to try taking mine apart to as I also feel I lose a lot of glue however, I do find it easy to run through the machine.

For the X , HSN has the best deal right now. Otherwise, I order from Amazon.

Scrapbookpal has some pretty good prices. The 150 refill is $3.99, the 250 is $7.99, the 500 is $10.99. They have free shipping over $25, and I usually get stuff I order from them in 2-3 days. I'm pretty impressed with this company.

I only buy with a 40% coupon for our local store.
Thanks for the reminder - I think I'm down to my last refill for the X and I know I'm out for 250.

I had never heard of scrapbookpal...thanks for the info. I found them when I was looking for a cheap place to buy copic markers and refills. I've been very impressed with them. They even called me one time when I accidentally added 2 dies to my order to see if I really intended to order 2 of the same die (I didn't).
