Have you all seen this? I´ve always been hesitant to Me & My Big Ideas because of the disc system, but now I´m a little tempted. It looks so easy. I have almost all of their stickers and the new Happy Memory Keeping stickers look awesome!

So, it's just another memory planner system? Aimed at the younger millenial crowd who doesn't scrapbook and has no tools readily available like a simple trimmer? Erm ok. There are already so many people using the Happy Planner to keep memories so I guess they're extending the product line and trying to sell some unnecessary stuff (you know those picture punches are unlikely to hold up well over time *coughProjectLifepicturepunchcough*) to young ladies... Why not? Good luck to them. I'm not sure a lot of those younger millenials necessarily own a photo printer or will be interested in investing in one though. To me, it's just an inferior PL system. I don't know how those pages will hold over time or whether I feel any need to document daily (no, actually, I don't feel the need ). I'd rather have my photos in a page protector to avoid damage in the long run too. I'm also unimpressed by the Happy Planner and Mambi stickers I got last year. I dislike the disc ring system with a passion... Never managed to make the Happy Planner work as a home tool either. And the foiled stickers I got were not great quality. But I feel like it's a natural move for the company to make. There are plenty enough Happy Planner memory keepers out there. This ought to sell enough to justify the launch. Beyond that, I'm not sure. I doubt this'll take off (as a product line). How many memory planner lines has Heidi Swapp launched in the last few years (and then abandoned only to replace them with a "new" approach)?

To each their own. I don't love it for myself, but if someone else does and it helps them be a memory keeper, then I think it's perfect. I do love my Happy Planner, but I don't use mine as a memory book. I use it to help keep my life organized and I'm starting to do much better with meal planning because of it.

I like the overall concept, but I don't like the disc system. It does seem like a cute way to get the 20-something crowd into memory keeping.
I do something similar in my planner/journal. I will once in awhile add a picture or two of that day into my actual planner.

Perfect for not married without kids.I like it. There is a young one in my family that has a printer like that.

I think it works for some people. It wouldn't work for me, but if it can keep memory keeping alive, that is a good thing. I found that a planner just isn't my thing, but I can see someone who plans like this whipping it out to show their other friends what happened last week.

Well I did make it through the video though bored to death by the first half going through the week. I am kind of in favor of anything that would make scrapbooking relevant to a new generation but I don't think it will work. There are no young people in my life that would be interested.

I have one of their planners but I bought their lined filler paper and use it for lists, phone numbers, reminders and the like. And of course I decorate it with stickers. Once a scrapper...
This reminds me of Project Life--simple format and some journaling. Good idea to get people started with memory keeping.

Not for me, but cool for anyone who it works for.
I need space. Lots of space.

Well you can't blame the company for trying. So many people are saying "not for me". I get that. But many say the same about traditional scrapbooking. Presented this way, it seems like another version of the smash book. Just prettier... I don't particular like the disc system, but I love the weight of the paper and that the weeks start with Monday. Oh, and that I bought it with a coupon. I only use mine for planning, not memory keeping. Mine is 18-month and good until the end of the year, but I look forward to getting a new one then.

Just curious: Why do a lot of you think that this is only for young people? I´m 45 and have 3 kids and I like it! I also have the tiny HP Sprocket printer.....

I could totally see how that would work for some people and the results are cute. And you could get away without that picture punch (I was having flashbacks to those long awaited and ridiculously frustrating PL 3x4 rectangle punches of years past) by using a small trimmer. IMHO, any system that gets you memory keeping and is fun is a good one!

I'm not a planner person at all but I actually think this is pretty cute. Maybe I'm just sucked in by a good video

i don't like the discs. I use my planner to keep up with what goes in my PL album. I don't put pictures in my planner but I do use stamps and stickers and washi. I'm 52. I'm using an 18month Plum Planner than finishes Dec 2017. I'll be looking for a smaller option for 2018.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I like to do scrapbooks for my kids and wouldn't spend the time on a planner that would get beaten up traveling with me for a year.

The company made it very clear that they are aiming this at young women by only showing young women using the product in the video. So I think everybody was just reacting to that. Everything about the advertising screamed "scrapbooking for millennials!" There's no reason us GenXers (or anybody else) can't enjoy it too, but we're not the target demographic.

A year or two I would have been all over this, although I'm not a fan of the disk system (I can see the logic of it but it's not my favorite look for a finished journal). I am always looking for ways to combine writing about what I did every day with photos, but I realize I need more space than this system would give, both for the words and for the photos. I'm happier sticking pictures into my hobonichi journal. But I'm all for different options. If you love it/the idea of it, go for it! Any way we collect memories and photos is good in my book.
