I am considering the class but am on the fence. She talks about getting at those extra special albums and how to tackle them which I'm interested in because I've got a couple of those that I really need to get at. But the album that she works on in the class is her Disney trip and many of the comments say that those people will be working on trip albums as well...So, While I think I could get something out of the class, I'm concerned that most of the interest and conversation will be about doing travel albums rather than doing special albums more generally. I don't know. Maybe I will and maybe I won't.

I am doing it and I will be doing a travel album. Part of the reason is that most of my scrapbooking these days is travel. Mine won't be Disney related in any way - the last time I was at a Disney property was 1998 and I don't have a lot of photos from it, as it was back in the film days. So far, there are not a really large number of people posting on the chat forums - it may be that others doing a Special Event album might join in later.

I was considering it, but I don't know yet. I have never taken one of her classes, and don't do whole travel albums either. When I do travel pages I usually want a number of photos on each page (may be small), and/or 2-page layouts. So a lot more about featuring photos than lots of cool scrapbooking supplies, and also being able to use "Disney" (or other) themed supplies (may be stickers, but also maps, cutting apart brochures) in unique ways to make unique layouts. I really just want to take a current class for fun, but really don't know if this is the right one for me.

auroraborealis that's a bit how I'm feeling. I have taken a few of her classes and have gotten a lot out of them. I was kind of hoping she would have a new one soon but I too am not sure this is the right one for me.

I love Shimelle although her style and aesthetic are really a stretch from mine. She's a good teacher. But I must say she chose the first image for her entry about this new class with erm... dedication to prevent me from wanting to buying said class. Gosh, I dislike the work done on the large scale photo layout so much. And such a product push for AC with all those Amy Tan stickers.

I enjoyed her Glitter Girl videos long ago, and I often learned some good techniques, but I'm not interested in the class. I really don't like adapting pages or albums created by others. Her style is very different from mine.
I also have not completed any online class yet, so that track record doesn't make me want to start a new class, anyway.

I'm signed up. I have a special project that I've stalled on because I want it to be perfect and have therefore given myself unrealistic expectations so have done nothing. I'm hoping this class will help me work out how to start it and give me a plan to get it finished. As noted above I like that Shimelle teaches how to approach the thought process rather than a prescriptive "cut this, stick this here".
I primarily work on travel albums and have plenty of partly finished ones that are my backup plan for this class if I find it too difficult to adapt her teaching to my other project.

Shimelle's videos are among my favorites for techniques and ideas. I'd really like to take a class from her sometime but I stopped taking album or layout classes a while back. Hopefully she'll do a technique class in the near future.

I signed up right away. I was in Disney when the class came out (flew home today). It was a surprise for my daughter's ninth birthday, and I have about ten zillion pictures. After just two days in the park, I was thinking about doing my first travel album. Needless to say, when she announced the class I had to sign up for it.

I signed up! We are actually going to Disney in September, so I figured it would be fun to play along when I get back. I'm hoping it motivates me to get a lot of pages done right away, so they don't sit around undone forever (like my wedding album )

I am taking the class -I always learn something new about design from "glitter girl" and from her live scraps on Friday. I love that she shares her thought process as she selects papers, embellishments and photo size and placement. Although she will be teaching using her own Disney pictures -she has stressed that the techniques will be applicable to many different scrapbooking themes.

I love and always learn from her videos/classes but I am not a full album type of scrapper. Am I going to get booted for that? lol. I think it will be applicable to a lot of themes, not just Disney, as I have found her classes to be that way in the past. Good luck and have fun for those that have signed up!

I want to see the photo, not a page full of products. I would NEVER have guessed this was a Shimelle layout.

I'm not, but that's because I'm not very good at the whole class finishing thing. I will take sketch classes, but that's pretty much it.

I would NEVER have guessed this was a Shimelle layout. When she did layouts for Studio Calico a few years back, she absolutely did not do her normal style. I was completely surprised.

I haven't read her blog for a while. I've been reading her blog and watching her Friday videos this summer. Her style hasn't really changed-this one layout is quite different from what she usually does. I've thought about taking the class since I really like Shimelle's teaching and have taken several of her classes. But we're going to be away for 2 weeks shortly, and I don't have a travel album or other special album that I am working on at the moment. So I think I will likely give this one a miss. I do always learn a lot from her classes though.

I am definitely going to sign up...whether or not the layouts are actually my style I find her videos really inspiring and I have a huge travel project to tackle so it seems like good timing. I think I have taken pretty much all of her classes. I thoroughly enjoy all the free content that she puts up, so I like to support her with her classes. Even if the class does not seem to be my thing, I find it enjoyable to watch the videos and read the content.

I love all her classes. Plus, she is one of the few scrappers around that actually scraps and doesn't try to sell you notebooks or push popsicles.

I'm not familiar with her, but I'm not looking that up to speed on current well known scrapbook teachers/bloggers, etc. It is becoming more apparent I already have a specific style in mind for the travel/Disney layouts. I am not planning on signing up for the Shimelle class right now, but if people really love it I might add it in. Depends if I think I will have time to really tackle that scrapbooking project, later August is kind of hectic so maybe Sept. is more realistic for me. Would love to hear what you all think!
