I'm too cheap to pay for radio. Radio is free. Commercials pay for it. I'm not about to expend money in radio. When DH bought his car 5 y are ago it came with 1 year satellite radio and it had commercials. If you have advertisers paying you WTF should I? I mean DS's Spotify on his phone has commercial free playlists so if I really want something I'll play that. That's weird-we've had satellite for over 5 yrs and have never heard a single commercial on it.

Hubby loves Sirius XM and I hate it. So, he has it for his cars; I don't. I listen to KLOVE (which does not have commercials) or my iPhone via Bluetooth. Both are great.

I listen to my local public radio stations. News and classical music. For other music, I stream Amazon.

I cannot imagine not having Sirius XM radio. My husband's car doesnt have it and I insisted he get it for our upcoming vacation. ^^^ I know, right? both of our vehicles came with it free for a limited time, and since then my BF has called up to cancel and then negotiates the subscription price with the customer service person. He was going to get rid of it altogether from his car, but I said no, since I drive it once in a while and I LOVE it. So he keeps calling to cancel / negotiate the price / re-subscribe. He always puts the next 'cancel' date on our calendar so he doesn't forget, lol. They do have 'sponsors' for some of the shows, so yeah, it does have what I would call commercials (there's nothing like hearing that obnoxious Zyppah commercial about a stop-snoring device for the umpteenth time, lol) which is why I switch back and forth between a few stations during the commute.

I have the radio on most of the time when I'm at home, and also in the car. It's almost always one of the BBC stations I listen to. No commercials, quality broadcasters.

We were die hard Sirius customers but we've dropped it because it's pretty expensive here in Canada Back to normal radio in both vehicles for us Dh did make a huge playlist on his phone for us to take on vacation (road trip) this year ... hooked it up to the bluetooth and we were good to go I do miss my one fav Sirius channel - The Highway

When I'm in the car, I listen to the radio or sports talk radio or XM or podcasts or audio books.

At home and in my car, local sports talk radio. It's not just sports talk, they talk about other stuff too. It's like I really "know" these guys. All day and all night, until 11pm. ( 105.3 The Fan. DFW )
I'd say I have the radio on 75 % of the time I'm home. 90 % of the time in car, unless I want to listen to my love, Steven Tyler.

I voted "Other". A few months ago I started listening to Pandora through the app on my car. Before that I listened to XM satellite radio exclusively as our local stations are pretty much cr@p. Since I switched to Pandora, I've discovered several new (to me) artists and songs. Very few ads, and when I do get one I just switch to another of my Pandora stations.

I have a favorite radio station that I listen to. One of the things that I like about living in the information age is that when I get a song stuck in my head I can just go to Youtube, pull it up and listen to it.

we just signed up for a year of sirus xm on our new car my dh has it on his car and endlessly listens to grateful dead. I usually listen to npr or cd's on my car.. but we are taking a long car trip (2000 miles).. so we got sirius for my car too.. too many places you can just listen to country music. the biggest problem with sirius is lack of classical music

Neither. I am a streaming radio or podcast person. I listen to pocasts as I get ready for work each morning. Switch the streaming NPR as I drive to and from work. If I am listening to music it's either on iTunes or Apple Music. I also use Slacker radio a few times each month. All of these are listening options for me as I do housework, as well. Listening to something makes doing it barable. Until about 2 years ago, I was a diehard old school radio fan.
ETA: After reflection, I changed to "other."

I checked radio but I only listen in the car. Most of the time if I'm alone at home I don't listen to anything. When DH and DD are home it's a constant cacophony of noise from iPads, the tv and chatter.

Both.
I love Sirius, gotta have my Howard Stern and NASCAR channel. I have an old portable Sirius radio that I use to listen at work. Don't have it in my car but when I get a new one later this year I will.
I never thought I'd pay for radio but I have no bills so this is one of my luxury items.
I also like old school radio. Kearth 101 in So Cal plays 80's music so that my go to station. Now if only big 80's hair came back, I'd be a happy girl.

I really like my Sirius...I mostly listen to Radio Classics and the Today Show. I have a few music channels that I occasionally listen to, but those two are the ones I listen to the most.

Love my XM! Right now, I'm totally loving the Love channel because it's been "yacht rock" all summer long! Even my 6year old listeners to it! She requested that I add it to my presets! We listen to all kinds of stuff on there - 70‘s thru the 2000‘s each decade on their own channel. We have hair nation, first wave, classic vinyl, classic rewind, lithium. It's great!
Like others have said, I hate commercials! They piss me off. Talking over music does too. I commute 35 minutes each way on a 2 lane very rural highway, I never lose reception! Regular radio goes in and out as I take turns or go over hills. It sucks! DH doesn't have it in his car and he is constantly whining about it.
If I don't listen to XM, I have an iPod video that is plugged into my stereo with every single song I have on it. My music is endless with over 9,000 songs. DH would take that into his car but the stereo won't directly plug into it and the fm transmitters suck.
We have stupid phones that don't stream music.
