Do any of the newer software versions export .svg files? Or is that just a hoped for "coming soon" or eventual feature?
I think older versions of the software did that. I need a version that exports .svg if anyone has it or can tell me where to find it, please. Since it has been free software for years, I think this is okay to ask.
My sister needs to provide a vector file of a design that she is creating in Silhouette. It would just be easier if she can export the file as .svg to begin with instead of having to trace it in Illustrator (which I could do, but I am hoping for faster and easier).
Thanks for any help you can give.

scrapnnana it is the old DS version of the software 1.9 or 2.0 (windows version) that has the feature allowing 'saving' as an svg. It is still available to download in a few places. Basically what you do is save as studio and then change the extension to svg. I used it for a while so I could cut .studio files on my Cricut using SCAL. However the feature save as .svg has been recently reintroduced in the Business Edition of Silhouette Studio (v 4.1). Users will now be able to save files as SVG, PDF or JPEG. HTH!
